A police car. :norty:

Ah, I didn't realise that the gas pedal falls off and is a bitch to fit - forget that idea then.

Where to get a Corrado manual/leather wallet?
MonkeyVR6 replied to MonkeyVR6's topic in Suppliers Forum
Well if the manual and leather wallet thingie that it all comes in is in good nick I'd really be interested. Can you mail me some pics mate? [email protected] -
Hi guys, I've got a service book, but I'd really like the whole package of a Corrado leather wallet and manual to go with it. Anyone know where I can get one? I've tried my local dealer, but no luck :( D.

As the title suggests I'm thinking of getting these... http://www.corrado-teile.de/shop/produc ... rrado.html They're €40 ('bout £30 in real money), but I'm not too sure if they're a bit chavish? I've not had a cover on my gas pedal since I've owned the car and I thought this would smarten the interior up a bit while keeping OEMish. Cheers.

The definitive "What Air Filter?" discussion thread

Not enough for you to make a difference though. I've got a Pipercross VR6 Induction thingie, nice grumble and sounds great at full-chat. Not too sure if it adds power, not that I've noticed anyway, but seems more responsive, might just be me?! -
Just curious about this as I don't have windscreen cover as ze German's are bent and my car is Group28 (out of 30) for ze German car insurance and therefore doesn't cover it as I'm not 27 years old, or have 4 years NCB. :shocked!: So...a windscreen, how much would it cost if I had to replace it? Cheers.

I see it mentioned all the time on this forum, but I've never heard of it, don't really know where it is, or where I can get my car ran on it! :?

How is it sneaky?! :?

A few months on and I'm still undecided. Anymore examples of de-badged grilles? Spotted this one I could get... http://www.corrado-teile.de/shop/produc ... -VR6-.html

Here is the latest photo of my car, I was looking through the paperwork the other day and the documents state its blue! Surely its purple?! I can't remember the offical VW paint name.

Whoops, sorry that was me going off on a tangent/slight thread hi-jack. I get 130 degrees now and again, but only on 130mph >>> 140mph constant Autobahn runs.

This chap did a brilliant job with my old BBS RA alloys a couple of years ago. http://www.jppolishing.co.uk/index.html

I see that on Awesome GTi they've got the low temp thermostat and fan switch for the Mk3 Golf VR6...would be be ok to use in my Corrado? I know that the Golf is essentially the same engine, but a 2.8, so I wasn't sure. Cheers!

Woop! Woop! I've seen 130 degrees in my Corrado a few times.

Hi chaps, I noticed that the idle speed seems to be a bit low on the ol'Corrado VR6. Only noticed it as my mate pointed it out to me, its idling around 500rpm. We couldn't find the idle screw to get it to idle a bit faster...err...so where is it?! :? What do other peeps VR6's idle at?

Went to a different garage today and I've got front discs and pads and 4 tyres for €466 (about £350). Result! Going to get them to change the brake fluid too. Woop! Woop!

*NEW VIDEO* VAG UK Corrado G60 Promotional Video
MonkeyVR6 replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
Damn it! The video link doesn't work for me :( -
Ah, I didn't think of that, I'll have to ask him. I had a feeling it sounded a bit pricy. Is there a huge difference between VW discs/pads and the cost of ones from GSF (for example)? Last time I was there, and we were discussing my brakes, he did mention that he thought it was a good idea to change the brake fluid too...he mentioned something about having too much water in the brake fluid. I'm buying 4 tyres from them too!

Got a quote from a place where I've had some work done before (http://www.hg-tuning-paderborn.de/index.htm) and they've quoted me €298 (£224) for 2 brakes discs and pads for the front of my 1995 Corrado VR6, this also includes labour. Just sounded a bit expensive to me especially considering I get 20% off as I don't pay German tax. :? Any comments I'd be grateful!

Oh my god!! Will someone just tell me (by PM if required) which dude sells the chip I need for a 1995 Corrado VR6! The link above has three different models - one stating they are for the early model Corrados only, another dude selling them from fucking Lithuana and the other chap selling 'em for a fiver!!! Also, while I'm having a pissed off rant, how easy are these things to fit? Or rather, who can I take them to to fit for me? Cheers *breathes out*
-
I might be being a spaz, but I can't find them on eBay! The only one I found isn't compatible with my Corrado - I own a 1995 Corrado. :?
-
I'd also be interested to see the real world difference this makes...seems too good to be true for £25! What are the differences? Does it eliminate flat spots? Rev harder past 6000rpm? :confused4:

What if I have those funny in-pro (aka 'angel eye') headlights? :?
