  1. My local dealership has one in pimp black, took a few photos will upload them soonish.
  2. Don't know what all the bollocks about the VR6 having shitttty MPG is, I can get 400 miles per tank on the Autobahn and 382 miles with normal day-to-day driving. Win.
  3. Shit. I keep forgetting about getting an oil cooler! I'll have to get in touch with the dealership and get a quote for fitting it.
  4. 5th gear is a better motoring program fo shizzle, however TopGear is more of an enterainment show, especially these days.
  5. Thanks for the responces dudes, I have to admit I'm a bit surprised, however I'm probably biased towards my Corrado obviously. I would have thought it would have been close, not a complete spanking. I guess I was fooling myself as my car looked pretty small when parked next to the aforementioned vehicles. :)
  6. I've just seen these on pistonheads.com, they are not far off, or indeed are Corrado money. All-wheel-drive, plus a massive amount of torque and just a shade of the Corrado to 60mph. Hmmm...interesting.
  7. Chaps, The new Scirocco is soon to be on our roads and lots of people who I work with are keen to know if I'm getting one (am test driving on next month) and this has sparked a debate in the bar about why I'm even still driving my beloved C. My fellow colleagues state that its a waste of time putting the effort into cleaning/caring for my car in the manner I do as, "its shit and old" etc etc. :camp: Now, I'm not too bothered about this, but it did get me thinking... Recently we've had a whole bunch of N
  8. If you like that, then check out the 'arrow and Passat R36' German TV advert on youtube.com.
  9. I've found a Wankel engine too...the search continues for a V6.
  10. Chaps, I'm bored - thought this might look cool above my TV. Your opinions are welcome. http://www.discoverthis.com/visible-v8.html Not sure if I'm going to buy this exact product, am trying to look for a V6. Cheers.
  11. The DC5 costs considerably more than my Corrado, as would modifing it with a turbo! Nice idea tho dude. Seems as though I'm going to stick with the Corrado and once I lower it before November and get the alloys refurbed, again before November, I'll love it a bit more.
  12. Whats all this about alarms?? I don't live in Bagdad, so opted for the keeping the standard Lazerline system. :norty:
  13. Are they new? How much do they lower by etc etc etc? From the small amount of research I've done it seems to be a good idea to avoid a company called 'GMax', however Weitec seem to be rated highly and they are about £250 in the UK, slo about £200ish over here in sunny Germany. In particular it seems to be the Weitec Ultra GT[/i] suspension kit - anyone used them? Bo!
  14. The big black tube thing? How on earth do you tell if its knackered? I hate threads like this, makes me so paranoid about my Corrado :pale:
  15. Hello Chaps, Come November time I have to get my car thru its yearly MOT-style test thing, it seems to be a bit more strict than your average MOT back home and I was told last November that there is a small amount of play in the suspension, but its fine to drive until this November 2008. So, I'm using this as an excuse to lower the car. Now here lies the problem, I haven't a clue what I'm looking for. Please don't suggest stuff of UK websites as its not really much use to me as I'll have to get it posted to Germany and its a bitch to get the tax (19%) back. If I buy something off-the-shelf here in Germany then I don't have to pay the German tax  What are the implications of lowering then? I've not got a huge budget, so don't fancy spending £400+ on coilovers when I'm NEVER going to bother changing the ride height. German roads (shock! horror!) are rather bumpy, especially on their beloved Autobahn, so I don't want something crazy like -80mm, but would -60mm be ok on a Corrado? Or shall I stick with a more 'safe' -40mm? I'm not too keen on whackin' just some lower springs on the car, I'm after a 'kit' that'll comprise of all the stuff I need. So, will it cost me bucks to get Volkswagen to fit it? Or am I better off trying get a few of the Volkswagen enthauiasts to help and bung them a crate of beer? Forgot to add, I'm running standard 205/50 15" tyres on standard ride height. Anyone ever heard/used these? http://www.corrado-teile.de/shop/produc ... rrado.html Here is how the car looks now, will lowering it -40mm actually make much difference?
  16. Okay, okay - enough! WHAT THE HELL IS A MAF?! I can't be the only mechanical dumbass who owns a late ('95) Corrado VR6!
  17. Beat me too it, a Pug 306 goes forever and are pretty cheap these days, only thing is if you get the 306 TDi, it means you'll get whooped by any half-decent 1400cc.
  18. the place to get stuff is... http://www.s137074005.websitehome.co.uk ... r-home.htm They are awesome, got a great t-shirt from them of my old Mk2 Golf - basically you send them a photo of your car (or any car you like really I suppose!) and they make a kinda negative print of it. Good Fruit of the Loom quality t-shirts too.
  19. Hi chaps, My car was up on the ramps recently and it was pointed out to me that I should change the fuel filter (can't remember why?!). I've had it since September last year and I've never changed it, and I can't find any paperwork in the cars history stating its been changed lately. So I guess my questions are: - How much are they? (from Volkswagen dealership of course) - How easy are they for a dumbass to fit (i.e. Me) / How much would the labour be to get the dealership to fit it? - Will I notice any difference? Cheers chaps.
  20. Would you sell this... A 1995 Corrado VR6, full VWSH, loads of history, 82,000ish miles and in very good condition... to buy a 1998/99 Honda Integra Type-R (DC2)? Nothing wrong with the Corrado at all, its quick, reliable and pretty unique, just thinking of a change. Discuss.
  21. Wow! Has anyone spotted that the infamous Corrado 3.0litre Syncro car is back on pistonheads.com? If I remember correctly it started at £15000 and the advert stayed the same way for MONTHS, although slowly the price did drop to either £9500 or 8500 (I can't remember which). Well, strap yourself in, as its now had a polish and its back up to £11000! Have I missed something?!
  22. Link dude? Think yourself lucky mate, Corrado pices have dropped quite a bit, I bought a 63,000mile example for £5300 in September 2007, ya ok its got 1 owner from new and full VWSH, but if you can get one for £2500 cheaper - then go for it! If its got around 80,000miles or more on it make sure its had the chains and tensioners done, having an induction kit on it (as mine does now) doesn't really add any power, but sounds fantastic. Unless your an eBay ninja, parts can be expensie, and obviously there is the group 18 insurance...but its so worth it :luvlove:
  23. Try http://www.townsendcarsales.co.uk/22802/tcs.htm, he always has a few, in fact I think he's got a nice 87,000mile example at the moment last time I checked http://www.pistonheads.com/sales. Ignore some of the 'drama' that some chaps might moan about him not knowing absolutely everything ever about the Corrado, he's a nice chap. When I was there I checked out his Ferrari 355 and his 1 of 6 (despite being on a CAT D) Corrado Campagin. Forgot to add, you simply MUST get a VR6, if you can't afford one, then get a G60, if you can't afford that...then get a Mk2 Golf GTi 16v and forget the Corrado.
  24. Hi chaps, I picked up some 'Rain X' (http://www.rainx.com/) stuff the other day after peeps had said it was good stuff for repelling rain from the windscreen, and as the Corrado's headlights are so poor I thought it must be worth all of the 3 Euros  So anyone ever used this shizzle?
  25. I'm really impressed, proper craft if you ask me.
