To me its one of the most beautiful cars around, and its more a question of not "would I have one?" but more "which colour would I have?" and White is the new Black 8)

Nah, your just female... :D  Funny, but youre asking for a slap  I dont like the new look autotrader, its w*nk!!!

Its on tonight lads and lasses!!!!!!! 8) I deal with config management of all of the data on the whole fleet at the moment mate, so not strictly hands on. However, if I was hands on then it would be all of the electrical and avionic equipment, from wiring looms to the RADAR, to the helmet mounted sight etc.

How many peeps have gone down the 24v route now then guys? I know of my old one - now Mystic-Storm's, also Jay's old C - New owner??? I also know John M has done his, and whilst I was at PSI Tuning the other week there was a blue Storm in waiting for one. Add to that SG, Bigpants baby, Dutch VR6, and Coxy (longest conversion on record )- how many are running? So, if you have one, add your name to the thread, Im just interested as I think its gonna become more popular.

As soon as I get some trim I'll send the lot mate, no probs. Look for Peanuts car (he had it before Cymru-corrado) it had red tints on it, and its a DBP mate. It did look really good too. -

Did you speak to Cymru-corrado re the grille James? Forgot about the clocks too tbh, doh!! They were red and blue, but I forgot to re-dothem after Andy fitted the new ones. The mirror switches are a pain in the arse to change, as is the sunroof switch, hence I never got around to them. I was also going to fit some led cable (cant remember the proper name) inside the an controls too to light it up nice and bright red. You still got the laminex film for the lights? May be worth trying it, however I'd say dark tints on the top would suit it better 8) -

If you got rid of your C what modern car would you have?
Stan 24v replied to Jay2's topic in General Car Chat
I was reading about these on http://www.seatcupra.net the other day. I reckon they'd be big sellers over here, but as was said on the seat forum, it would put pressure on sales of the R32, and thats probably why it was never sold here. Would love one though, its lovely 8) -

I bought the 4mo in January for the Mrs mate, so officially its still hers, on paper. I got it really cheap and have done a fair amount of work - new maf, coil pack, leads, plugs, arb bushes, poly'd front wishbones, and Ive got some S3 suspension ready to go on. By the time Im finished it'll be a top car! I bought the LC recently, as I wanted a change fron the C, again really cheap. Its not something I was hankering after, but wanted something modern, decent looking, decent power but with potential for more, and not another Golf. The other options were A3/S3's but when you weigh it all up, youre paying a high premium for the badge, For the price I paid for my 03, 66k, 1 owner LC I could get a 2000/01 A3 1.8T (,aybe a Q) with 80-100k, or a 1998/99 S3. There are nods in my mind for both cars, and I reckon power wise, for the money, the LC will be cheaper and easier to do. Looks wise the LC gets it for me, easily. Driveability - the Golf is a bit wallowy to be honest, but the S3 stuff will sort that out. It grips well too, The LC really surprised me as its standard suspension and it feels tighter than the Golf, but the power is conpletely different, being turbo of course. So, until Ive started playing Im not sure which I'd prefer - maybe I'll just stick the 4mo engine in the LC???? :D  -

Stan 24v replied to Jay2's topic in General Car Chat
There arent many cars that can "replace" a C as its so unique. I reckon a 3.2 TT would be a decent replacement, if you can afford it. However I cant, so Ive got a Golf motion and a Leon Cupra. Both nice cars, and fairly quick, but completely different from the C. If the C felt a little bit more modern then I would have happily kept it, but I just wanted a change - still my fave car though!!!!! (and now I have to add some pics, cos I can  )
