Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!

Lovely rado mate. -
Cheers Swompy 8) J, they might be, 2 of the tyres need to be changed soon anyway, 1 of the wheels is curbed quite badly, the rest are fine. Crackle black would be expensive lol.. Oh and the tyres are ok in the dry and uber shite in the wet, the car squigles about like a pig in mud! Carter they're defo 7.5's, the 205s sidewall is dead square! I was thinking of puting on 195/40s for a bit more clearance but tbh the 205's are a lot more comfy!

That colour would look sweet with a polished lip, decided against matt black centres as it'd look too aggressive and take away what little class the car has left lol. As far as quality, they seem pretty decent, weight wise i couldn't say because i haven't really been driving the car hard because i hate the yoko parada tyres that are on the rims, once those are changed to something more suitable ill let you know! They didnt seem much different to my 16" lenso bsx that i had before though when i was swapping them over.

You're a legend mate!! Will have a fiddle tommorow and see what i can do...

PTFE lube? lol... where can i get this stuff? So do i jus take the cylinder off and soak it yes? Stupendously stupid question but where it the throttle body on the valver? My mates polo was idling like mine after a few months of running the drilled airbox so we cleaned out the TB and it was running sweet again! Kempy, indeed valvers hate anything below 10 degrees or above 20 lol.

What does the ISV look like? I think im going to have to take it to a garage for this one as id have no idea what im doing! lol

Hi guys, got a 2.0 16v and the idle has for the last couple of months been playing up a little. On very cold starts (the colder the worse) it struggles to start without pumping the gas and when it does if i dont rev lightly it for 30 secs or so it tries cutting out as the revs drop to like 100-200 rpm a couple of times but it never actually cuts out. Then once warm (engine oil 100+) the idle hunts when parked up or in traffic etc between 800 and about 1000 rpm. It never happened before i drilled my airbox and has been getting worse since. Any clue as to what it could be? Btw, sorry to have made another thread, its just that my idling problem is a little different to the other chaps lol. Cheers, Abdul :D

Nice rado you've got there. Seeing as you now own one and are on the Corrado forum would it hurt to spell it right? lol.
-
The P99 is a bit too hardcore for most :D When you add the processor etc, you're talking a couple of grand, more than some people's corrado is worth  It is a VERY nice unit though and way cheaper than Alpine's equivalent F1 system. Sounds better too imo. Stereos that suit corrados imo are Nakamichi CD400, Becker Mexico and some Clarions. I echo this. Id also look at the older P77MP as that would probably look pretty sweet in a rado dash. Alternatively a Becker unit maybe??

Id be happy with a v8 of some sort, a small one probably if its going up front. If we're talking mid engined dreams then it has to be a 6.2 amg v8.

I keep hearing about this G60, supposed to be quite nice... never seen it though and i feckin work in chingford lol.

My lm reps have 205/40 yoko parada s tyres on and they're shit beyon belief in the wet while managing to only be decent in the dry. My 195/40 dunlop sp9000's i had before were SOOO much better. Id recommend them to anyone! :)

lol x2. Congrats mate, i cant believe its holding all that water in the footwells! Watch out for frogs

Thanks guys, i really need a proper camera lol. Now, what colour do u reckon i should paint the centres? I want something moody... 8)

Cheers Zak. Mr Deviant... they give the car a bit more of a modern twist! These are et35 and tbh sit like shit. Because ive got a bit of camber on the front the wheels tuck in even more so it looks a bit horrid at the mo. Some spacers will sort that like said! Cheers for the shout on Rtec, ill give them a bel, alternatively i might just get some normal bolts and chop em down n stick em on... will probably wear a lot better. Hows your Rado? Missing Beckton? LOL Abdul

Righto, swapped my lenso's for some lm reps in 17x7.5 et35 all round with 205/40 yoko's. Looked like this yesterday, i didnt bother adjusting the coilys and ran it like this to work and back. Because of the high offsets and big-ish tyres the arch liner was getting raped (tyre was sitting on the liner when stationary) and i couldn't get more than 3/4 lock without the car feeling like i had the brakes on! Was hitting the coilovers at some points too :nono: . Car was dirty btw and the pics are all off my phone so quality isn't great lol. Sorry. So, i raised the car today by 10mm all round and gave it a quick wash. Its much better to drive, i can now go over humps at 10-15mph (people used to walk past quicker when i had the 16s on) and dont bottom out like i used on dips/cat eye type things so all is good! Managed to drive on the motorway to my cousins house with 3 people in the car without scrubbing once or anything, was actually quite comfy. Couldn't help but notice how nice the rado looked in his drive so... This shot shows how desperately i need spacers (5mm spacers on the rear at the mo) the front looks funny lol. I was quite feeling this shot even though u cant see much lol. I really need spacers all round (10-15mm if anyone has any) to get the stance a bit better plus that way i can lower the front a tad bit without hitting the coilovers. Centre caps are missing, need to buy some and the wheels will be getting refurbed very soon, going to polish the lips myself asap. I am thinking of going down to a 195/40 for clearance and what not but honestly its so comfy on the 205's im thinking of leavin em plus they're supposed to be winter wheels while i build some summer wheels. Comments welcome as usual! Abdul

I think its a love/hate car. I personally love it and those 63 engines are just immense. Uncle has an E63 and the noise is just off the charts! :luvlove:

Zak how do u drive it that low on 17s? My newly acquired 17x7.5 (et35) lm reps are giving me grief, my car sits a little lower than urs but i dont get more than half lock and it scrubs on the arch liner when stationary let alone when im moving lol. Have u taken the liner out? Need a solution asap or im going to have to raise it tommorow lol. Ground clearance after 16s on 195/40s is nice though!

2 elements? Can someone put up a link to the bulbs i need so i can just buy em online? lol.. Im not going to lie, i think its quite cool when the sidelights flash with the brakes but i dont want any electrical probs because of it so its probably best that i fix it! Anyone tried those LED bulbs? Thanks, Abdul
