Well the lower the offset the more the wheel will stick out so yeah. The wider you go with custom dishes the lower the offset will be. Wheels and offsets are a mission.
-
Carpoid, you are a serious RS whore lol. I personally wouldnt run anything less than a 20mm adaptor on a car you're likely to rag a fair bit lol. If it was something slow then fair do's. Do bare in mind that the Porsche fit RS' tend to have wide barrels and skinny dishes so even a 9J wheel might only have 1" of dish.

I reckon to the right buyer the whole lot will be worth 1k+ easy.

Congrats on the missus being pregnant mate. It is indeed a very good excuse to buy a "cheap" daily VR6 lol. I cant believe the Recaro's are going, they're fookin stunning man. Oh and like i said on Ed38... R36 maybe once you've decided the rado is no longer a "cheap" daily?
-
   Very nice... u still got the Mk4 then? If not i sure do hope you took those recaro's out lol.

Green N reg valver (i think valver) yesterday in ilford, got a wave from the chap, was a very very clean car. :D
-
What Zak said mate, what width are u looking at? Me thinks a 8" wide rim with an offset of about 20-25 looks good with a 195/205 - 40 tyre. That wont poke at all.

How much does it typically cost to get the rear axel bushes done?

Shame about your engine probs. Tbh, i love ice grey violet pearl, gorgeous colour and suits the rado really well imo but then everytime i see a Burgandy pearl or Twilight violet rado my heart just melts, trust me, if i could own a rado in every shade of purple i would
-
 I didnt know they made Burgundy pearl valvers.... im so :censored: right now!! Very nice car matey. Fancy an ice grey violet valver?

I dont think it makes a difference. My airbox is drilled to fuck and the snorkel is removed and tbh the car performs the same, just sounds alot more crazy. Nice colour u got btw.

a KR head flowed or not will go on a 9A block, some say the slight casting differences of some of the 1.8 heads (they don't have some of the water channels around the ports the 9A heads do) make them a little better at the top end as standard, but KR or 9A heads are all much the same when ported/flowed. An ABF head is the better standard head, again not major differences but as they are the last development of the 16v head by VW and designed for a higher revving 2L engine than the 9A, they are about the best. Ah cheers for clearing that up dude. Ive been thinking about dropping an Abf into my rado but they have alluminium sumps so that pretty much rules them out along with 1.8T's etc. If only Vw carried on developin the valvers and didnt go turbo crazy :(
-
Bit random but is the KR head better than the 9a head then?? Would a flowed kr head go straigh on a 9a bottom?
-
im guessing the problem you have is that you haven't cut your hands yet. the corrado was designed with a mechanism that meant it would hold back all wiring in a difficult place to reach until you had cut your hands up a bit. as soon as it senses blood, the wire is released. HTH. No i havent cut my hand yet lol.. i always pull back when i feel something sharpish about to tear into me lol. I shall let it cut me later tonight and see if the cables are released

Id say 2k easily tbh. I would've payed that considering the work back when i was looking for a valver 6 months ago. Someone just looking for a rado will probably prefer a vr or g60 so will most likely offer alot less. Wait till someone who wants a valver comes along. :)
-
Hey dude, nice rado you got there with alot of work put in it but tbh i dont know how much of your money you'll make back baring in mind the fact that nice vr's are going for fuck all these days. How much have u put into it if u dont mind my asking?
-
I think this is my new fave corrado. It looks absolutely spot on!!
-
Running it down the centre console is no probs but i cant seem to get the rca out from the headunit end if u know what i mean. I cant find the damn thing.
-
Hi guys and girls, im just wondering if someone could tell me where and how to run rca cables in my corrado?
-
Ive got the Kestral DA6, it does produce good resutls but is far too time consuming, to get my rado 100% perfect took me about 15 hours (just body, no engine bay, wheels etc) so im going to be geting a silverline or something of that sort soon. The DA6 is a good machine for beginners though imo. Dont see the point in paying 50 quid more for the megs version.

VR6 it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol... sorry, i just really like your 8v. :D
-
Your 8v is sooo nice though!! Really nice colour too. Id swap the lumps and interiors over :D
-
My stroeve was similar, didnt really fit at all. It was too big and the metering head (had no cover on at the time) dented my f*ckin bonnet!! Drill your airbox and enjoy the noise dude. :D

I just went to see THIS (BMW content...) Selling my C?

Do it bro, worthy replacement for the Rado i reckon. Got a similar oldschoolish look too so uber cool!! :D -
It must be worth at least 10x what u payed for it now!! Bargain and a half tbh. Looks quite nice now, a new set of rims will set it off a treat!
