The benefit is if you don't have the MK5 ECU or loom etc, this is a (potentially) easy way round it. But I can't see how the DBW throttle is going to work for starters, and the cam control is tied in with the EGR if I remember rightly, which on cold start up and warm, gives a lot of cam overlap to reburn the over rich exhaust gases. When then engine's warm, the cam control switches off. It's not a 'VTEC' system, far from it. Maybe Stealth could confirm that. What makes an R32 an R32 is it's ME7 engine management. It just won't be the same running off a cable throttle and narrowband lambda etc etc. Personally I'd put optimum performance way ahead of a working MFA on the priority list! Whats so special about the R32's management dude? Ive heard this before but never really understood why its better than aftermarket or in this case Vr management...

This is exciting stuff....

What a C*CK. Go round his house and slap the teeth out of his mouth. Its one thing for him not to buy the car after winning the auction but to then say that he's paid and not recieved the item lol.... gravely dissapointed my arse. :censored: :bad-words: :mad2:

Ive got Weitec Tx's on my Rado. Ive not had a chance to adjust the dampers so cant comment on that. They do ride very well though imo. Better than my '01 Audi A3 1.8T sport did (stock set up - facking terrible), a lot less harsh and crashy. In terms of handling, they're excellent too imo, better than most of the FK crap, similar to eibach pro streets and kw's imo. My Rado's pretty damn decked too so those wanting a more subtle stance would probably get a better ride and handling than mine. Tbh, i wouldn't buy anything else again unless i felt rich and bought KW V2/3's.
-
I've got just over 1.5 degrees on the front of my Rado but did it mostly to match the rear (no shims, just lowness camber lol). It does handle well though but tbh, i couldn't tell the difference as far as handling is concerned after i had it done.
-
The dunlops stretch very nicely imo. 195/40 on a 8j isn't crazy stretch tbh so *should* be safe.

Looks good fella... just how much quicker is it than the old Vr??
-
Who other than grant motorsport can do TB conversions on VR's? What are the gains like???
-
You stress about the strangest things! get some  I know, ive got a thing for perfect arches lol.... never actually had a perfect set my self but if the rado stays.... 8)
-
From what i can tell, the early models front and rear arches are more of a similar size where as the late models have got more flare up front...
-
Im almost definate the front arches are wider. The rears are more of a bubble like shape while the fronts are flared out a bit. Does my feckin nut in. If i keep my rado its near the top of my to do list for it....

I like em, 10mm spacers up front and 15mm out back and they is the sex... What tyres are on em?? -
Ye saw those Brakes Steve, i want Porka calipers though lol... Last question for now, how low is your sump in comparison to the valver sump?? My cars pretty low as it is and due to go a bit lower soon and i honestly wont do the conversion if the sump is too low at my desired ride height unless anyone has any solutions to this?? Oh and on a random note ive got a new job so funds should be coming in at a more steady rate now

Looked good earlier tonight J.. spacers maybe?? -
Run a bit of negative camber on the front, roll the rears (or front too) and get FALKEN 205/40's. A good set of coilys always help avoiding scrubbing too.
