am I right in thinking a baffled sump has small ridges in the bottom (pointing up into the sump) to help the oil flow? something like that isnt it?

hm, I think the comment about them serving a purpose is quite accurate, they dont look bad IMO, but you've had prettier. Main thing is they're strong and light, which is just what you wanted kev. They'll look better if you can get a cap for your nut-recess (;)) since having them exposed looks quite 'motorsport'.

Just to add another collaboration to the list, the Nissan Terrano II was the exact same car as the Ford Maveric, only the Ford was aimed at the luxury 4x4 market and the Nissan... wasn't IIRC they sort of own each other. Renault owns a controlling share of nissan, and nissan owns a large chunk of renault. volvo also own a wedge of nissans comercial vehicle arm.

its worth spending a bit of cash and getting hubcentric ones, I bought some halfords cheapy specials and got awful wheel wobble since they were a nightmare to align properly, hubcentric ones would stop that.

have you tried one of those little wallpaper rollers? looks like a roller paintbrush but has a solid plastic roller. I used on to flatten down the soundproofing in my old VR when I did the doors and couldnt get my hands into get it properly flat. gave quite a smooth finish with a little care

that green 'is' an original colour though AFAIK, and is also pretty rare. I like it, combined with yellow headlight tints you'd have a proper Kermit the frog look-a-like. iow - dont think that bumper would work without the rest of the kit, which looks hard-as-feck in real life, although not my tastes its probably the only full kit I can tolerate on a C for its historical value (ie - i had a poster of one as a kid :D)
