 you're right there, its not exactly an attractive car but you have to admire the effort, its pretty obviously done as a giggle but its done REALLY well
-
Thats bloody horrible! I'm sure from a 'technology' standpoint its amazing but come on, it looks like a snork
-
not sure on the rims but absolutely LOVE everything else, really nice example mate
-
Stolen from pistonheads Looks better than those MR2/Ferarri fakes anyway!
-
I've always like the E46 M3's, loads of road presence coupled with great performance and BMW quality. Nice example there, enjoy! how about an 'interlopers' forum for members who no longer own corrado's but want to show off their new toys?

cue the car chase music!

People who know my car(ex crazymarcel/gradeafailure) help me
chrishill replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in Engine Bay
I've been told in the past by a certain Sir Kevin of Cheesewire that a certain amount of white smoke on overrun isnt anything to worry about, obviously that'd depend on how much smoke I guess and it certainly doesn't mean there are no problems there at all. My old VR used to white-smoke a bit on overrun, no VAGCOM faults and a seemingly otherwise healthy engine. -
I'd have thought alot of the weight in a VR is down to the engine, I'm not sure how heavy a 1.8t is but I reckon you'll be under the weight you've quoted in that thread. I reckon it'd be a close run thing however its probably best not to show him this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF7NbL2sC4Y

Proof that money does not guarantee good taste....

to be fair if it was all one colour... it'd still look shit  -
What engine have you got? if its a vr6 check the 3 sensors slightly forward and to the right of the block - one of them should be blue. Its possible the rubber 'O' ring has gone on one of them and is letting the water escape. I had the same problem on my VR and its a 5min job to replace.
-
the MAF? surely VW still sell them and if not can't you get replacements from BOSCH directly? I know its not cheap but if it keeps you on the road...
-
i dont think I'd fancy doing 342mph in that! I had some like that on my spiderman bike when i was 3!
-
mine's never broken, no matter how hard i've rammed (you cant tell its a friday night)
-
Maybe I've just got lucky with my previous 3 car purchases (which were all home-serviced) but IMO if its been home-serviced and its obvious the person whos done it knows what they're doing (I mean really how hard is it?!) then you cant really go far wrong. Sure, stamps add value but its minor when compare to the actual condition of the car and a lack of stamps wouldn't put me off buying anything I felt was 'sound'

I'm not sure if dynamet etc have this in the instructions, but a good clean down of the the surface with meths/white spirit helps adhesion (once dry!), especially on the inside of the doors. Also rather than just pushing it on by hand get yourself one of those little wallpaper rollers designed to flatten the paper into corners, they have a roller about 4" wide which is perfect for getting loads of pressure on to the deadening to get it to stick well.
-
double whammy of rarity there, looks in tidy condition too!
-
i like the front shot but i'm really not sure about those 'gills' on the engine cover...
-
each to their own I guess, if you have the funds and the time to invest in getting a good N/A setup and you prefer the driving characteristics to those of a turbo or supercharged engine then go for it. I think Kev's comment about the torque being crap was meant as in comparison to a turbo setup, which he has a point with. if it was my money/car I'd be looking at turbos, something small which spools up quickly reducing the turbo-lag is (with additional bits!) still going to get you to your target power and not have an overly dominant on/off boost effect.

Love that mk2, perfection in grey! -
just stick it through the car wash and spray on a bit of back to black, its only a veyron! ;)
-
mental, I'm actually salivating watching that!
-
little extra encouragement, just in case you needed it!
-
google image search for 'RH ZW5' and they were on the first page! it doesn't seem like there are many other corrados with ZW5's which would be incentive enough for me to get them over the ZW1's, plus it saves you faffing about converting to 5 stud (i take it the ZW5's come in 4 stud fitment?)
-
A quick google search turned these images up - DO IT! they look awesome!
-
i still say they're one of the nicest sets of wheels you can put on a corrado... but then I would since I had some!
