  1. i was looking at the same thing this afternoon mate and i don't even have a eggbox 360! The trailers for the game look deeply, deeply awesome.
  2. sounds like you've got the engine pretty much sorted! Its your car so if you like the styling I wouldn't change anything, however if it was mine I'd do something with those back windows (are they vents for the engine?) maybe cover them over to mirror the venting in the bodykit? as they are the angle of the leading edge makes them look a little odd. First time I've seen a corrado hill climb car though - let us know how you get on with the race on sunday, video's would be good! 8)
  3. Theres no way I'd run tyres how furki does, I appreciate the aesthetics but I'd have kurbed the protruding alloy within a few hours! :( If I were to do it, it'd be on a set of wheels reserved for show use only, I really cant see them performing well on the road.
  4. that's more bonkers than a bonkers thing on bonkers-tuesday in a bonkers factory! the doors and the rear hatch are the only things that still give it away as being a corrado! I bet its a hoot to drive though, RWD with a massive wide track and nothing inside it that doesn't need to be there.
  5. although you probably only need to email them once ;)
  6. sounds like a lovely garage to deal with, full of customer care and support. I think you've probably done all you can for now with trading standards and VOSA getting involved, doesn't make your situation any happier though I guess. Hope you get it sorted out ASAP. Oh, might be a good idea to 'name and shame' the business in question too ;)
  7. thats one hell of an asking price purely for low miles, I suppose it implies the car is going to be in really good condition but realistically if you bought a Storm with higher miles for (for example) £4k, would it cost you £8k to get it in as good condition? hell for £8k you could have a brand new 0miles engine from VW!
  8. that'd make sense, i was trying to figure out what would need a red/green/yellow sequence and red = rich, green = ok, yellow = lean would fit the bill.
  9. and Kylie's a*se is just two fleshy bumps in a pair of gold shorts... ;) I don't think its the perfect Corrado or anything, nothing ground-breaking about it - its just a really good photo of a nice looking car. nah mate, you're just more interested in whats under the bonnet than bling bling, nothing wrong with that!
  10. ah come on kev, it is a really nice photo
  11. Its a reiger wide-arch kit. There was a forum member called 'Trippy' from Carlisle who bought an ex max-power project corrado with the same kit, although it was a fair bit more battered than the one OSV just posted a picture of! I'm not normally a fan of such over-modification but having seen the car in the metal (and fibreglass/plastic) theres definatly something about it that I like. See this thread http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7706&highlight=
  12. 11.5 x 15 rears? holy....
  13. its a pre/post facelift thing, 1.8 valvers and g60's have the narrower wings and 2.0 valvers and VR's have the wider wings. basic rule of thumb, anything with the same style bonnet as your car should have the same width wings.
  14. "The VR6 was specifically designed for transverse installation in front wheel drive vehicles. By using the narrow 15° VR6 engine, it was possible to install a six-cylinder engine in existing Volkswagen models. A wider V6 engine of conventional design would have required lengthening existing vehicles to provide enough crumple zone between the front of the vehicle and the engine, and between the engine and the passenger cell." aww that's kinda disappointing, I wanted to hear something more like "VW designed the VR6 because those crazy german ba*tards are just so f**king cool n stuff"
  15. not something I'd like to see walking down a dark alley! Looks good mate, moody shots too
  16. I have to say that most of my experiances with dealer parts departments have been reasonably ok. I have had to guide one guy to the right parts list for the later interiour when I was trying to order new speaker grilles but I guess you cant expect them to know everything about every VW marque. Garages and women never mix well, a few years back when my sister took her pug 205 in for a service they very kindly changed her indicator bulbs because "they were the wrong colour orange".
  17. I know, but flares would aid the wide look :) Getting the arches rolled shouldn't affect the paintwork at all if its done properly. If you put your hand under your arch and have a feel (oh er missus) you should find theres a 'lip' of metal inside. Thats what gets rolled (or more accurately folded) up out of the way.
  18. I think you'd be disappointed with 7.5 all round if you want the 'phat' look, they're not that much wider than standard really. 9's all round would look great, although would probably need arch mods front and rear to avoid catching. I say get the arches flared and go for the 9's if you really want to go wide :)
  19. I feel sorry for the guy! You travel all that way for a go on 'the ring' and its p*ssing it down with rain. Obviously he decided to completely ignore logic, common sense and reason and give it big licks into a corner in what may well be a RWD car dispite how wet and slippery it looked. pillock
  20. nice work, the car almost looks factory the mods are so subtle in appearance. Nothing subtle about the work thats gone in to getting it looking that way - or those wheels! The blue caddy you're parked next to looks sweet too!
  21. I cant decide if he looks like a white guy with an afro or a lolly-pop
  22. any snaps of it from ultimate dubs? It was mentioned a few times in the show-photos thread but I didnt see any pictures!
  23. very very nice phil, the Rivage looks almost brand new!! Good wheel choice too, if it were mine I'd colour code the centers but it still looks sweet as it is
  24. oh-er! dont let him near your car at a show Garath... ;) Congrats on the feature though, having seen it in the metal way back in summer 2005 I can testify that its just about the most perfect corrado I've ever had the pleasure of going :shocked!: at
