    wheel offset

scarlett has 16x8's on her valver without issues, 9's have been done but IIRC you need to work out the offset carefully. play it safe?! no way mate, go for phatness and enjoy 8)
  3. mounting plate for either the tape holder or the guage cluster?
  4. i think it was tempest... it was about the very early 16v corrado that was owned by a karmann worker.
  5. try and find the 'special corrado - do look' thread in the cars for sale section if its still about, there was a good write-up of how that car could be transported back to the UK from germany
  6. might be of some use.... koni instructions! ^ edit - er... might just be for damping adjustment and so...useless!
  7. did you figure out the rear springs in the end?
  8. I'd be looking at around £4500-5000 at the moment, but come summer next year i'd think you'd get closer to 6k
  9. ah come on... wheres the pics of ruby in her f***-me boots? ;)
  10. come on mate, we all know which you really want to do deep down ;)
  11. odd project, surely using VAG bits would have been easier than ford bits?
  12. a mate of mine did something simular when we were 17 and at collage, i dont remember the exact cercumstances now but he managed to lock his keys in the car with the engine running. He tried all sorts of things, stuffing a hat up the exhaust to get the engine to stop (??) crawling under the front of the car to see if he could reach the battery and diconnect it (quite how he thought he would do that i dont know!) and trying to pick the lock...half a hour later his mum turned up to rescue him with the spare keys, much to our amusement (here you go son, i've brought you a thermos of soup too).
  13. could be a useful hole for deploying an anti-police oil slick through if you were that way inclined 4stud! anyway, i thought you were supposed to always wear driving goggles in cars like that ;)
  14. i think last time he was asked he replied saying was too busy to reply... :? give him chance, i'm sure he'll be in touch.
  15. its only london taxi's that are supposed to have a bail of hay in the boot!
  16. from how the cars sat i'm willing to put money on them quoting for the front bumper, front o/s headlight, foglight, indicator, grillie, grille badge, splitter and slam pannel all plus paint and labour. sadly with insurance reapirs and the cost of new parts from VW it really doesnt take much to end the life of a corrado.
  17. veedubs near me (and near chris too i suppose!) has a VW graveyard out the back with various cars, last time i was there I spotted a couple of corrados pretty much stripped and looking very sad
  18. I'm not keen, reminds me of the aston, viper and marcos... but i wouldnt be suprised to find it had ford switches
  19. hello mate, you've got yourself a nice motor there! welcome aboard ;)
  20. I was just going to say i saw a FK spring/koni damper combo the other day which had 5 height settings on the rear dampers.
  21. deffinatly needs to be lower on those wheels, personally I prefer the all silver RS's (they are RS's arent they?) you had on before, but the black centered ones still look good. also, does your cat only have 3 legs? :?
  22. looks nice! I'm not a fan of that grille, but its personal taste which counts :) bet it looks smart as feck on the borbets!!
  23. daft thing is, i expect getting the badge offset like that was quite tricky!

    condensation

thats the plan for the drive to work in the morning then! I just wondered if there was anything I could do while the cars parked up to help draw the moisture out, i swear my dad used to have a plastic pop bottle in the car which I'm almost positive he said was for something like condensation.... suppose it could have been his emergency toilet and he was too embarased to tell me!
  25. yup, whenever i think about corrados on 18's that image pops into my head, aside from the odd front badge and the colour, the wheels just look wrong. Yours however paul, look the cows udders 8)
