they deffinatly dont normally come like that, you get the eyebrow and the grille as one unit, but no headlight surrounds.

£2300 'does' sound like alot for a valver, but then again a cars worth what someone'll pay for it. Ruby certainly has alot more kit than the cars that have been going for sub £1500, and if you found the right person you might get somewhere close to your buying price for her, but I have to be brutal and say its a buyers market out there and if you over-price you could be looking at a looooong sale. try your luck, stick her up for £2300 stating thats what you paid for her in november and since then shes had the new seats, wheels and so on, although if i was you i'd take as much swag off as possible to sell seperatly (since corrado parts are selling better than whole corrados) then sell her on as a more standard spec'd car.

i caught the end of the news report about this last night, I got the impression it was simple loss-of-control due to ice..nothing the driver could do. scary thought.
-
have they actually taken out the seats on the zender one or is it just that they dont protrude beyond the top of the car, and so arent visible? there certainly looks like theres enough room for people in the back...

needs lowering :D

How fast have you had out of your standard VR?
chrishill replied to VRev6's topic in General Car Chat
not sure why i've not commented on this thread before! anyway, the fastest i went in my old VR was an indicated 148mph on the way back from a failed attempt to visit a VW summer nights meeting with H8RRA and Chrisvr6 nos. driving back up a deserted a19 in a (aprox) 148mph 3 corrado convoy was masses of fun! The needle was slowly climbing too, but as Jim says, slow moving objects tend to suddenly be very close before you realise and I scared myself with how quickly a lorry trundling along in the inside lane was coming at me, so backed right off. -
its be interesting to see their 'stats' on how many accidents have been caused by someones vision being blocked by a road angel or tomtom, you know, just so we know they're not making things up in an attempt to get radar detectors out of peoples cars...

it'll only be a matter of time before an alternative mounting system is drempt up, however that doesnt help people who already have these devices.

chrishill replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
that vids deffinatly... 'wotherlook' :D oh, and it just HAD to be chrisvr6 nos you were filming when you got run over didnt it   -
zed-dubs! the choice of the decerning corrado owner ;)
-
looking again at the chap in the first picture, hes either got freakishly short legs or a freakishly long body... somethings not right proportion-wise at least!
-
thats right folks THIS is the new corrado!! ok, so its not, but every other concept car they've released recently has been heralded as the 'new' corrado so I didnt want to buck the trend. It reminds me of a backwards reliant robin and an ariel atom hybrid. bloke in suit jacket/jeans not included.

a 2.0 focus getting 22mpg?! blimey!
-
aye, two options really, bite the bullet and pay up or buy a shi**er to drive about for a couple of years to build up your NCB, then pay less to insure the corrado. It cost me £1300 to insure my valver TPFT a couple of years back, with 0 NCB and I was 24

how about an NSX? rarer, supercar looks and great performance.
-
the S3 is the odd-one-out of that line-up, is it just the engine that attracts you? vx220's are lovely if you can debadge them and remove all trace of the vauxhall brand, but go for the turbo if you can get one in budget. s2000 are reportedly superb, solid, reliable and fast chimaera is as above without the reliability, or solidity or build quality and with a bit more water in the footwells ;)
-
just be careful not to 'fork' it up!   sorry
-
the carmona looks ace alot like a borbet A 8) not so keen on the soft edges on the futura, makes it look a bit dated.
-
obviously that changes when the feature a really special car... such as the corrado ;) :D
-
its a bit of a tatty looking mars red one actually, i was a bit disapointed they'd not tried harder to find a good example.
-
so long as they didnt get the bbc effects departmet to write the music, the push-bike dvd could be a winner!
-
cant comment on the 'same old tat' thing since its the first one i've been bought! theres a good bit of driving of a metro in a carpark which isnt fake, but yeah the other dropping-weights-on-cars bits are pretty poo. theres some nice motors on it and he does actually go into a fair bit of detail about them.
-
i bet loads of you got it for xmas, i did! Watched the first hour of it last night and its pretty entertaining, my only niggle is the appaling music they've dubbed over the top to (i guess) avoid paying royalties on 'real' music. oh, that and the stupid exploding cars and half-a-espace set-ups. WAY too obviously faked.

Crashed: Car at home now...to assess fixability
chrishill replied to Taggart's topic in General Car Chat
I didnt realise you couldnt get 6 months tax over there, thats what i was refering to. Still, you should be able to get most of it back, you'll probably lose the cost of a months tax. Good luck sorting it all out, its a gutting experiance. -
