  1. lower it and stick the wheels off the red mk2 in your signature on it and it'll look damn fine!

    Centre Armrest??

wasnt there a sort of semi-how-to on a previous post about this? IIRC you have to 'tailor' the center tunnel plastics a little to get it to fit right. does look nice though

    Centre Armrest??

fairly sure its a mk4 golf item mate... and merry crimble to you too!
  4. what! no time to clean the new car?? dave mate get your prioritys sorted ;)
  5. sell it and get a vr6? sorry, if i didnt say it someone else would have! flusted and a couple of others on here are your best bets for 1.8 16v performance, 160bhp is possible with a fair bit of work, obviously you could turbo it for a quick, but expensive, fix.
  6. are yours sided blue_joe? when I looked into replica porker wheels I couldnt get sided ones, and that put me off. They really do suit the C though.
  7. as i recall, the party was rubbish and I came home early... they must not have had any chocolate icecream left.
  8. i knew they had powerful engines, but thought it was mostly torque for towing massive loads about, i guess without that massive load they'd be pretty sprightly. When I was 6 I had the choice of going to see truck racing with my dad or going to my best mates birthday party. Being 6 I was swung by jelly and icecream, but I always wish I'd gone with dad.
  9. blimey! dont try typing 'samba' into google image search while at work, even with safe search on i got some er .... exotic results.
  10. they used to, but not anymore, they went bust recently! they're the same sort of style, but single peice.
  11. hard to beleive the f1 is over ten years old now, thinking back though I was about 13/14 when it came out, I saw it at the burmingham motorshow along with the viper, escort cossie and the 'new' micra when it first went bubble shaped. its aged well in comparison!
  12. I can only dream.... ;) so long as i can prevent it cracking I'll be happy, its not bad at the moment TBH, but I dont think its ever been done properly.
  13. this is a combined cleaner/conditioner so i'm guessing from what you've said i should be leaving it on for a while, like you say it only needs doing 2/3 times a year, so if i cover the seats in quite alot of it this first time and use it all, its not too much of a big deal. the instructions really are pap though!
  14. i'd have said a mk1 gti, or even an original beetle, but without being able to mod it to a more modern standard i dont think I'd enjoy it.
  15. not unless I find a tenner under the back seats!
  16. Having read old threads on this topic I went to halfords and bought some meguires leather cleaner/conditioner at the weekend (was going to order some of that liquid leather stuff, but couldnt wait!). The instructions that come with it are pretty weak, basically it says 'put some on then wipe it off again' :? Am i supposed to leave it to soak in for a bit? do you smother the leather completely in the stuff or just wipe it over lightly? also, the leather itself is pretty shiny, is that a sign of neglect or just typical of ten year old leather thats been sat on alot?
  17. genius! i thought... 'nah hes made a right mess of that' at first ;)
  18. VW or VAG group? i think we all know what the majority answer will be if its VAG group ;) VW... hmm, probably a mk4 r32 (which i think might be a popular answer!) or a pheaton.
