i expect he hurt more than just his pride there...
-
it gets worse... i'm sorry, i dont care how well it drives, how much power it has or how much of a rally history is attached to it, this just plain mings.
-
not too much of a departure from everything else they've made recently in design terms, other than the back end which is rather sexwee

i think F/I engines do benifit more from larger bores, but i doubt just the backbox would effect things that much, especially considering the connection to the rest of the system would need to be the same bore as the center section...
-
for the look basically! the rest of the ststem wont be the same bore as the backbox outlet, AFAIK that part actually makes very little difference other than looking nice/rotten. I'd expect the UPS corrado has a de-cat at the very least

I cant see you being associated with max power in any way shape or form driving your corrado though, its not exactly a tarted up shopping trolly or a madly kitted spiky japanese monster! yes, to someone 'in the know' it looks fairly modded, but IMO joe soap on the street wouldnt look at your corrado and instantly think "boy racer/max power kiddy". I think h8rra's suggestion fits in quite well, your day to day plodding about to work and such wont be as inspiring in a runabout, but then you'll probably apreciate the corrado a whole lot more when you do drive it.

23mpg is a little low, although the mpg figure over the course of a full tank of petrol (use MFA setting 2) is more accurate. I got 7mpg on the way back from work last night, but i did about a mile in 20mins due to traffic. I'm averaging 26mpg from a tank at the moment and I dont drive it that gently! you may know this already grim, but the first things you should probably change on your car are the dizzy cap, leads and rotor arm, unless they've been done recently.
-
Grim, MPG on my old valver was between 30-35 depending on how i was driving

your dad's sort of right, its easier to undo the brackets holding the rubbers (done up with bolts, for which you'd need a socket) rather than wiggling and twisting until it comes off. get yourself to halfords and buy a cheap set of sockets and a driver/ratchet thingy!
-
i take it the photos not life sized?
-
sadly no, and the drivers bolster is all but gone... I was being a little flippant however theres a picture in my members gallery, linked from my signature.
-
i'll swap you! :D
-
maybe the auto electrician knocked/touched/moved a dodgy connection?
-
if you're not looking at coilovers the best combo is H&R springs with Koni dampers, as recomended by many many members, but i think they'll still eat most of your budget and wont take you down 80mm (i think they're 30mm drop?) You'll need new bumpstops, top mounts and a spring compressor tool (halfords?) but they're all fairly cheap.

nice one! looks nice and low in that picture mate, is that its current height or is it even lower now?
-
ah, it was silver, but i was right its a mk1! :D nice subtle skirts by the looks of things, i didnt even notice them when i looked at your pics before aposegil, just the way it should be IMO.
-
you'll have one, and as for what it sounds like... 'buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz'
-
'Kirk Kerkorian'? thats the name of a super-villans alter ego if ever i heard one!
-
ahh yep i know the one, lovely car, i just didnt realise whos it was!
-
i dont think i've ever seen 'sashas' corrado, any pics/details?
-
dunno if we're tough or just have too much time on our hands... i suspect the latter!
-
not sure on the engine but you're right localtuning, I'm sure DSP did a golf roadster but if we're thinking of the same one it was a mk1... bright blue?
-
reckon i could get a subframe to fit these porch seats into my corrado?
