  1. same here veeDuB_Rado, i like the overall look but i've never been keen on the cadillac style 'fins' on the back quarters
  2. just watch the tide otherwise your 2006 picture might be of a submerged roof! ;)
  3. sacrilege! actually i've seen a couple of new beetles done to look retro, works bloody well too! cal-look with white-walls and roofracks..mmm
  4. red beetle with black spots or the ultimate in kitsch VW's, a herbie replica.
  5. Shaggsy, no offence intended, i know you were only repeating what had already been said and i 'do' get the meaning behind the statement.
  6. its not 'gay' nor is it 'hetro' since first off cars dont have a sexual preferance and secondly the owners sexual preferance really has no bearing on their taste, in fact the gay blokes i know have a better sense of style than I do, and yes, they like my car. anyway, i get the implication of the topic on clubgti - 'corrados arent as good as people say they are'. just a shame the guy who said it decided to phrase it in a derogatory way. for the record, i dont agree with what the owner of the g40 said, on a few different levels.
  7. wouldnt be a good idea mate, the smaller capacity of the 2.8 will effect how the chip is mapped, so it wouldnt really benifit your 2.9 when you brought it back. I think there were some other differences too which may well effect the chip working properly.
  8. can i be the first to ask why it'd be a problem if a person of a homosexual nature were to drive a corrado?
  9. if you right click on the setup icon and go in to its properties you should see options to run the file in 'compatability' mode. I dont remember where it is exactly but its helped me run software thats not xp compatible in the past.
  10. only the best nut-oil will do, you should know that kev!
  11. just read the same thing jim, you beat me to posting it! one thing that interested me was... 'VW's other main shareholder is the German state of Lower Saxony, which owns an 18.2% stake.' how bizarre!
  12. thats nuts! i'll get me coat
  13. yup, for a landmark car like that you have to keep it unmodified mate.
  14. for some reason the direct linked pics vanished... :? got to say i prefered it blue, and i'm not keen on the front bumper.
  15. well... its monday! just cos you're in a different time zone is no excuse... wheres the pics?! ;)
  16. corrado modifing perfection, all the changes are almost undetectable to the untrained eye... love it.
  17. thats not the only downside to it... it looks like s***!
  18. my moneys on maplins, just take the blub in with you and they should be able to give you a replacement
  19. just done a bit more reading on this, apparently it can be done via the back of the clocks (serial port) by directly accessing the chip inside the clocks or via the diagnositc port. the first 2 are apparently detectable (although i'm not sure how) but doing it via the diagnositc port is virtually undetectible. once you have access to the chip you need to know where the milage is stored in memory and have some software to access/change the value held. - edit - beaten to it by henny ;)
  20. well, it doesnt tell you much but this is guys site... http://www.digitechnik.com/
  21. i had ants in the engine bay of my old car... or is that different?
  22. i dont think its 'that' easy TBH mate, I'll need to get mine done when i get around to fitting VR clocks rather than the 2.0 16v ones I've currently got (dont ask!). Guy (chargedupstorm) does it professionally, and i dont think its too cheap.
