  1. Is that a bengal? Lovely puss that.
  2. Try a bit of orange peel on the scuttle. My cat hates anything citrus as do a lot of cats.
  3. 9am this morning, blue N plate VR parked up on bellhouse road in Sheffield.
  4. Hmm, yeah I might be interested. I'm assuming you wont be able to control the iPod from the unit?
  5. We got ours today! Its the thought that counts eh. Bloody royal mail, if I was the Queen I think I'd want my face off the stamps, I wouldnt want anything to do with them.
  6. Gutted for you that really is awful. Sounds like your witness was a star, you'd possibly be in an even worse position without him. Good luck with it all.
  7. Ah man, sorry cant help with the glass supplier but know how you're feeling. We had the car keyed on Wednesday night whilst on holiday, its not pleasant, these random acts of vandalism really get to you. Hope you get it sorted ok.
  8. Doh, as if they didnt know the auto's are four speed!
  9. The V8's are to be avoided because of the gearbox. Isnt it out of a Renault 25 or something or am I confusing it with the delorean? Guy at work has an Esprit Turbo. He's had it about a year and although its supposed to be his daily I've not seen it in the car park as much as his old Excel. He's not driving it in the current weather rather sensibly and it always seems to have misted up windows.
  10. Indeed, so nice to see them being driven properly, as said most people will never get cars like that never mind the oppurtunity to thrash them on a massive trip over America. I did think a lot of it was genuinely funny, I mean seriously what were those tyre fitters actually saying?! I suppose it would be the same if an intelligent American ever came over and tried to speak to your average tyre fitter in Barnsley.
  11. I just use carb cleaner and loads of kitchen roll type rag and cottong buds for the akward bits. As long as you are replacing the seals etc and wipe all the excess out it should be fine.
  12. I've had two MOT's done in a row by the same tester, first year he gave the same advisory as you got, second nothing. Only a month after the second MOT they started clunking horribly at low speeds and were buggered.
  13. I've had this after putting the car in the garage for two weeks (handbrake off) and not using it. It is the passenger side also. I put new cables on and Mk4 rears about two years ago so a bit annoyed as this is what I was hoping to avoid.
  14. Wow. The only question I have to ask in that situation is how did she have the intelligence in the first place to be able to get a job to afford a two year old BMW in the first place. I suppose we've all done daft stuff before but unfortunately for a lot of people these days there is always someone armed with a camera and an internet connection to show the world.

    losing water

Keep an eye for the windows steaming up too. We were loosing water like that for months and I dismissed the heater matrix as the carpets were bone dry. It was the heater matrix but it took a while for the underlay to fill with water and make the carpet wet. I also did the Mk4 header tank mod because the new original spec one I bought 18 months previously leaked around the join in the middle.
  16. 1: Escort Cosworth 2: E30 M3 Evo 3. 911 964 Turbo
  17. J36 of the M1 at Barnsley was an N reg (I think) blackberry (I think). Was around 5:30 yesterday.
  18. Well after changing another relay and the ignition switch it still wouldnt fire on the key so I took it to an auto electrician who found a broken wire the the auto box. Probably wouldnt fire because it didnt know whether the box was in park or neutral. Just glad its sorted and at least I've saved myself the hassle of changing the ignition switch when that inevitably caused problems later down the line, managed to do it in the garage at the weekend while the weather warmed up a tad. Someone might want to update the wiki though, it cost me £26 with vat from the stealer, thats gone up a bit!
  19. Yep indeed, whatever happens to them now (I wish them well but cant help thinking it isnt going to end well) the fact remains that they havent made a profit in the last ten years. That cant continue no matter how great a brand from the past it is. I'd love an Elise in the next few years. I've never had a go in one though, will I be disappointed then Kev?
  20. I've got mine today but unfortuantely the postie insisted on pushing it through the letter box and has bent it. How f3cking stupid can they be! Well annoyed.
  21. I'd be interested too if anyone does organise it.
  22. You mean 2008's card. We didn't do one last year as people might start expecting one every year. Lol, that means its been up for two years! How time flies. For a tenner a year I dont 'expect' anything. The clubstands etc always look really good at shows and both the Prescott and York events I've been too were really good.
  23. Thanks for the card. We never took last years down! I cant believe that people take time out of their lives to do this sort of thing. I barely manage to send cars to people I know never mind organise anything like this, certainly appreciative of the effort over here.
  24. Unless you've done it recently anyway do not put that dash in without changing the heater matrix! Sorry if I've missed it I've only seen the last few pages.
