    This is the point when the rebuild really starts to gather momentum! As soon as I had my downpipe fitted, I was back on the road within weeks! Looking good and I'm only very slightly jealous of your 3.2 lump, it looks so much neater than the poverty spec aue lump!

    I'd say that our mk5 gt tdi 170 would give the average corrado driver a tough time over a cross country dash. Not that I prefer the golf, it just shows technology progression over 15 years between the car's.

    Have booked the old girl in for her remaining 2 lambda bosses welded in next week. I'll be able to see how I get on then with her. Saying that, I'm getting my adaption values and after the first tank I averaged 30mpg which I didn't find too bad at all. Always nice to know that giving her the beans from time to time isn't going to make me poor and signs that the engine is running well. I'm sure I'll have some more mundane updates as life goes on!

    Seeing as the Bosch blades are about 6 or 7 dead bug on the screen wash wipes old, I'll do them for £15 posted. Unless somebody comes and undercuts me....

    Perfect timing, I've literally just bought some new Aero ones! I can do you a cheap set of arms and pretty much brand new blades. Only thing is you will have to wait until next week for me to post them out after my new ones arrive.

    What length blades do you have Supercharged? I'm not bothered about the potential fouling James. Our other car is a Mk5 Golf and you have to get the wiper blades into the service mode to lift them as they sit well below the bonnet line. It's something I can live with :) In all fairness Supercharged, I lift the blade everytime I wash the car to get under them and clean the blades themselves.

    These are 1 passenger arm and 1 driver arm and a few people have this setup but just use 2 19" blades. I'm just double checking everything before I pay the man :)

    A little google shows that you can have have these part numbers fitted so long as you fit 2 19" blades which is coincidently what my standard blades are.

    Take out the gear change tower and see what is what. 2x 13mm bolts and 2 cables. I have a spare you can have for postage if you need it?

    Well done! Those ring nuts can be a royal pain in the hoop! Now you've got it off, you can get at it easily now for when you go turbo and want a bigger fuel pump!
