Shame you're not feeling the love mic, I'm sure they'll sell quickly!

After having a slightly noisy fan and ignoring it as it didn't sound that bad, I could have paid the consequence over the weekend when mine melted leaving a lovely smell and some nasty smoke. Luckily, it never caught fire but it did make me pretty concerned that something so simple could endanger the entire car! Morale of the story, if the fan is even slightly noisy, don't ignore it!

You can tap off any line you like for the vacuum feed :) The actual sensor is the same. Just the bore diameter of the pipe it is in.

Hah! It's ok Sam, I'm one of those firmly on the non air side of the suspension debate but the rest of your car is well on it's way! -

It's all good Sam! We will organise a brew at some point! Mic and I had a look around your install and were both impressed at how you got on with yours. Looks to be almost there! A few little finishing touches and you should have a very capable car! Air aside of course :-P -
You need 2 pipes from the inlet. The large one is for the brake booster and the others can all be blanked except for the inlet manifold change over diaphragm.

And today was my turn! Oh Well! -
When I saw you having a go when I left, your sunroof was open, surely that's another 2 inches!

What condition are the rest of the suspension components like? Drop links or ARB bushes can clunk in a similar style to worn top mounts. That mount doesn't look especially worn.

First long distance trip out today, about a 100 miles or so and happy to say that all managed to pass largely without incident. I did however have a small (read not so small really) event when I parked up at the Peterborough meet to find there was a strange smell coming from the car. On further investigation, the plug that goes into the back of the stock fans had melted itself. The fans were a little bit rattley and sounded as if the bearing were beginning to give up after 22 years and 193k but apart from a small noise, I was happy with how they ran. Unfortunately, something did give up and melt, be that the brushes or the bearings and to be honest it's not important. The car was safe and apart from a bit of inconvenience and a bad smell, I now have the opportunity to upgrade my fans to a nice new slimline item! Other than that, the car ran absolutely flawlessly and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well a 24v goes and cruises. Many thanks to MicVR for helping out and the temporary loan of fire extinguisher (which I'm pleased to report remains unused!) Pictures for you lovers of all things image related! Back of fan unit Plug (or remains of it!) -
Back from the first meet after the rebuild and in many years and I can honestly say I really enjoyed it. Good to speak to everyone I had the chance to even if I didn't hang around until the very end. I never got any photos as I was too busy chatting to all the friendly faces that were there! There was a fantastic mix of minters and absolute ratters! That Polo with the pub carpet was certainly a brave statement! All of the different Corrados (and there were plenty) really held themselves well against the other marks out there and you can clearly see the effort that has gone into a lot of them! I dunno Mic, today came close to it! Thanks for your help and the temporary loan of your fire extinguisher! For anyone who didn't see/smell my car, I had a bit of a moment with the cooling fan motor that decided that it had had enough for one lifetime and melted itself. Luckily, it was on my list of jobs to replace with a nice new slim line item, now it's just top of the list of stuff to do! I got home without a single incident though apart from that. Not bad for the first long trip out since being put back on the road!

Cleaned it ready for its first meet post rebuild! -
Like new!

Haha! And that demonstrates clearly what running a Corrado is all about! Lows followed by highs, followed by frustration! Hope it's not expensive and you're back on the way to fixing it quickly!

It's partly the reason I carried out everything myself. That and I like a new challenge! -
Good price! I never went for agreed on mine as it's not worth anything! Maybe once I paint it?!

Yours is an epic colour though Stella!

They were never a stock fitment on UK cars. You'll have to trawl US eBay or look after market. Laminex films are good though.
