  1. I love those Koeniggsegg (spellings?) videos. Satisfies my inner engineer!
  2. These are the "very basic" drawings I sent to SwiftKid a week or 2 ago for him to have a base for his drawings. I'll add them here incase anyone else finds them useful. They are based on the OEM supply Denso Marston Radiators and the Revotec Fan I have. Other fans and radiators probably won't work the same.
  3. Crazy Dave himself had 11 and 6 inch fans so that he had extra clearance for his short runner intake. Just shows that those 2 sizes could keep a vr6t cool so anything above that can only be a good thing!
  4. This conversation came up a while back and as far as I am aware, neither of them really want anything to do with this forum. I hope things may have changed and that they are willing to help. This is the old post asking the same question http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=82829&page=4
  5. He's been asked before and I believe he said he wasn't too interested...
  6. And only a few posts in! Result! I like your products on your website btw. Not that any of it is of any use to me, but nice stuff none the less!
  7. Not you trackslag, I've heard nothing but good about you. It's United Motorsport that I have problems with, even if their product is top notch. Apologies if this didn't come across clearly.
  8. Cool :-) I fitted my eBay one earlier. More expensive, probably. Genuine, definitely. Did I have to drive 90 minutes to get it? Nope. End result? Probably no real difference but it's done now :-) Glad that vw still sell some bits for the Corrado :-)
  9. Those kind of leaks are caused by blocked Sunroof drains.
  10. There is no valve in the expansion tank. It's a bottle with 2 wires for the level sensor, a hole in the bottom to feed into the coolant system and a pipe in the top for excess fluid to return through. The pressure control is carried out by the cap. There's a pressure relief valve in the cap itself.
  11. I'd say so. New cap is blue I believe, don't quote me. Either way, cheap easy fix.
  12. Under the black cover is a small tube that directs excess fluid, if it does boil over, in a safe direction to avoid things blowing up in your face if of open the bonnet at the wrong time!
  13. That thing on the side is just a cover that tells you what coolant to use. It's printed on the side of modern expansion tanks. The valve is part of the cap.
  14. The "gases" is just oxygen being compressed by the fluid expanding due to the increase in temperature. The cap shouldn't let any air out until the temperature gets properly hot ie north of 115c. This I to stop the pipes rupturing due to the high air pressure in them. If the cap is letting air out at under 100c, then the cap is broken. Get a new one, they're not expensive. The system pressurises to raise the boiling point of the coolant so that you can run the temperature at the level required for effective running of the engine.
  15. Of course, otherwise you wouldn't have any range on your tank?
  16. Normally a pin hole leak in my experience. The problem comes in trying to find any evidence of this pinhole as they sometimes only get bad enough to leak under the higher pressure of high temps.
  17. I keep telling myself next year :-(
  18. I opened my fuel tank for what I would have said was the first time in 193k (solid tight/very dirty/original tape holding the wires in place being my clues) and was surprised to see how clean the inside of the tank was. Hardly any crud at all! Maybe it's more of a myth that tanks get dirt in them and I would have thought the the baffle-less (real word?) tank would encourage stuff not to settle on the bottom but in fact be suspended in the fuel during normal driving around and not settle as much on the tank bottom.
  19. Anyway, back on topic. Window scraper seals are also hot property for those after a respray!
  20. Respray in the future James... It's easy to confuse humour with annoying sarcasm...
  21. Maybe over the next few weeks, maybe next year depending on what my summer calender evolves into...
  22. Nah I got other things non corrado related happening in my world at the time. I'll need to join ccgb again though as my membership lapsed a few years ago now.
