    VR6 Badge

Yeah i've got one lined up from a chap in brum to be fair, he breaks a few corrados and is a decent chap, (he had my old storm) certainly can't see him asking £90 for one... i hope!

Bit scared to say i need a chrome grill badge!
  6. Ha ha, i saw the random 1st post in the wrong section but didn't have time to comment! And to keep the post relevant i have a shrick under the stairs that i'm itching to fit to my storm and i think they are worth every penny of the op's asking price, good luck with the sale;-)
  7. I've recently contacted vw uk which I think was in Milton Keynes regarding my storms authenticity, piece of cake but the chap on the phone did have to go into an older database so if they tell you they can't be sure, ask again!, oh welcome and get some pics up:-)
  8. This nice g60 could turn me! http://bit.ly/1vLtMej
  9. I read somewhere that they can be either vw or bbs? mine has vw, but my last storm had bbs centres

Had a look at the storm today, gotta say it's proper tidy! nice chap too, he's had a few vr6,s and one of thems been a mag feature car at some point. If I still had a garage I'd be all over this:-(
  12. Nice to see it won the test, especially against a fiat 20v turbo

    Vr6 coilovers

Yep I agree on the bilstein setup, strangely the best strut combo for a classic impreza driven on road was the prodrive bilstein strut and eibach spring combo, and you can send the bilsteins back to the factory for a refurb:-) Thing is my corrado is not a daily driver so I don't mind a hard ride for the weekend although this does goes against the all round ability of the corrado for me also:-/ The bilsteins looked a bit high in the ride height department for me in the pic he had up, and by no means do I want a stupid low car but for being able to control exactly where I want the car to sit height wise. Been there with struts and springs and been unhappy wtb ride heights

    Vr6 coilovers

I've been looking at some lower end coilovers and ap have always caught my attention at £385 all in? Also just found some fk silverline at £460 also which have the stainless steel bodies which would last a bit longer, anything else I should b looking at for around £400?

Oo I'm working in cheltnan at the mo so might have a pop and look at this nice mystic! http://bit.ly/1qVv4Bm Or item number:231300243393
  19. But.. its a four cylinder! lol i'm joking and very jealous, lovely cars. I read a test on one of these against the new hot a45 merc and the golf was the pic, enjoy!
  20. Thanks for the info chaps, its the first corrado I've had with an immobiliser in the key though so i wonder if theres something mounted in and around the ignition switch, funny i remember the ignition switch going on my first ever corrado and over the years i think i've either paid for or done every job thats possible! I'll report back when i've sorted it, thanks again
  21. Great info stone, thanks. I do enjoy having a go myself and the last vr I had I managed to do most jobs I thought I would be 'sub contracting' lol. A good friend has his own unit with ramps etc so I do have the luxury when I can find the time. Now I remember reading an ignition switch not being the cheapest thing...
  22. Fingers crossed you left the handbrake off! Depending on the last time the oil was changed I would change it anyway, replace filter and put some fresh fuel in and you'll be away

    95 Mystic storm

Bit of an update, i've had the storm laid up on the drive for a while due to some unpaying tenants bleeding me dry but the other day i put a new battery on her and she fired into life, but unfortunately the other half needs to use the corrado for a week while her mr2 gets an mot so fingers crossed she doesn't write it off! I also nipped the corrado into my bodywork guy who is very good and will be sorting all the little rust bits for £800. He also informed it has not had a rear end and has the original floor pan so bit of a strange one why the sticker has been peeled off. Also found it has the original front scotts of sloane number surround also which is nice:-) I actually gave vw uk a call to confirm the storms authenticity and after the chap having to go back into an older system he did confirm that it was a storm. Heres some pics of the offending areas Desperate for a chrome front grill badge which i have lined up and some coil overs
  24. Thanks jim, trying hard to sort these bits and bobs myself but electrics (house and cars for that matter) always end up getting passed onto an expert, i just feel depressed when looking at a big coil of multi coloured wiring and insulation tape:-(
