Blown, IIRC there is a garage with Rollers in wick. I never had my car on them....and I dont know if anyone else I know has either. Gordon motors i think its called.
-
I think the fact I am going to this length shows that I would not slap any old shite on my car. If you can afford a full respray at the drop of a hat, then maybe I ought to change career plans.

appreciate the warnings.....and i am in no doubt that the two of you are correct.....but surely some discoloured matted paint looks better and more importantly protects better than no paint, so either way its still an improvement of sorts!!

looking better than ever, really wasnt convinced about your steels at the rr day back in november, but now i love it!...... i dont hink you could of done anything better than take the chin spoiler off the back. I heard the guy you bought the back box off was a stunninglooking bloke, and a gentleman too. :-D  -
i have had bugpac poly's before, they were fine and will be cheaper than the bonrath ones...... front kit only available tho....
-
oh god..... here we go. right.... this is my opinion: you want as little play in the suspension as possible. period. i have bonrath poly bushes front and rear which are pletty damn hard. I have std G60 top mounts, but would seriously consider upgrading to spherical bearing top mounts if i had the cash just now...... around £170 for aluminium ones from AAT, most people upgrade to vr6 top mounts, only for the durability factor - afiak there is no differnece in the squishy-ness. bonrath bush kit is about £80, got it from german car company, who now seem to be M.I.A. - there are other bonrath dealers. sinse you will have the wishbones off, you may as well change the bottom ball joints too. you may want to get stiffer ARB bushes, too....no recomendation there as i just got vag ones....i wanted to see what i wanted once i ran the car if that makes sense!

great!, I work for brittish gas part time, and I know what ofgem can get up to.....they are the cheifs....and there is nowt bg or any other supply can do to argue with em....i had kind of hoped maybe the GISC were the same....but as they have "members" is suspect that infact the effect ould be concieved as the opposite......with the majority of companies now monopolising the industry (contradiction in terms I know...but the only way i can think to put it.) to cover future insurance increases, would surely be a vaild claim given the above??

there are afew video clips of mine....in the knockhil link in my sig.......

use it as a spare for your central heating, or a toy in the bath, or even better....an attractive addition to the shelf at the back of the shed. You will also need a catch tank for the oil breather and a filter or two for the isv and the top of the catch tank...depends how u want to set it up. I have a catch tank with two inlets....for the isv and the breather, and a baby K&N on top. The mod is a bit noisey, and the performance gains, if any, are minimal, so a lot of peeps put it back on.... but after feeling the charger when i came off the track, i am happy that the slightly anoying noise on part throttle is justifiable!!
-
that is totally normal..... because there is a valve that lets the unrequired boost go back to the charger.... the butterfly valve is connected to the throttle butterfly, and is at the other end of the pipe that is on the right hand charger inlet. Some people (me included) take it off as it stops the hot air from the throttle body being sucked in with the cool air...and keeps the charger stone cold...even after 15 mins on the race track. Just enjoy it!
-
and they are happy with that?....hmm.... i had a feeling they were a useless bunch.
-
at the time....i had already done the front bushes... but i didnt replace the top mounts (it was back in the day, when i was young and carefree!).... and I soon after replaced the rear bushes........top mounts on the car are still the same...and my mums husband loves it!!!
-
site is down just now..... but there is a vid where...... ChrisP, u can word in what ever way you see fit!!! G_V_K Homepage

they are the ombudsman for insurance.....like if birittish gas or powergen or something fucked you about with your leccy or gas bills, then ofgem would sort em out quick style if u complain to them......so there will be an equivalent for the insurance companies. I am sure it is gisc....i will check! aye..... look here...... http://www.gisc.co.uk/Home/default.asp not read any of it...but it says right at the top.... let us know if thet do help, or if they are just for show!
-
 i bet u shit yourself when that happened!

had a streetline kit on my old, old mk2 it was superb, not a patch on what i have now...but compared to std there was no comparison...£ for £ an excellent mod......tho one of the rear shocks did die within 18months......but for the £220 i paid for the kit...cant grumble.
-
:offtopic1: I know, but..... are you ChrisP, the 'stuntman' from the GVK vids?? Just wondered! Welcome to the forum.

flange for side - £4.52 flange for front - £8.25 O - Rings for round the senders - £0.82 Blue Temp sneder - £8.63 new spring clip for blanker - £0.36 Blank plug - £.177 I like to buy genuine parts, even though I know that alot of these things from EPC/gsf are OEM, just not VAG branded, but not all of it. ..... I dont think that the two temp senders from VAG will cost £30, given the price of the blue one. EDIT - I should add.... these are VAG list prices so are subject to vat and any discount you may recieve. jimsG60, there is a thread that stevemac wrote about g60 water leaks....your part nos and my prices would look good there...but i didnt want to copy your post without mensioning..... feel free to take the prices from mine.

it depends on where/what the pin is snaped. If it is the main lead that goes into the ECU box you can fix that, by takinging it out of the PCB and replacing it with a new one, but a pin on an IC within the ECU may not be as easily fixed.

where about are they based......being a francghise....i guess it will vary...... but i might get the same guy as you. Dont spose u have before and after pics??? I dont know if my dent/scratch from a another car's door is chipsaway-able.
