Bung as many different combinations of relatives on insurance as named drivers to see which is cheapest and another £50 onto excess, i once stuck both my parents on and it came down £175 and they're mid 60's! ok, got it all un-bolted (the section with the barrel on) but its not sliding off as i hoped, seems to be catching on the steering lock i guess. is there a way round this or do i have to take more off? Andy

I'm hoping to separate the alloy shroud from the end of the steering column. As I've got someone after the alloy surround, their's got bust by a thankfully failed attempt at robbing the car. is this something to avoid and sell it on complete or simples?

Do you think most of this is given the blind eye treatment by the law, as low priority? Most likely the guy in corsa prob clowning about pushing his luck like most of those do, so he was stopped and taken apart by a peeved off copper?

Hey Rob, found at the back of the breaker the remains of the clip that held on the plastic square thing. sorry about that Andy.

I removed one not long ago without bother in just a few minutes. It was only afterwards i heard on here its an easy broken item. Perhaps i got lucky, there was a little residue from window bond but the tool i used was a decent sized flat blat screw driver, as said above work steadily from one side to the other. I just got the flat blade in near were the clips were and tapped it out towards the screen using a small hammer or my hand. Don't be eager when near the end to rush, keep it steady and you should be fine. Some clips came with some stayed behind but can easily be got hold of. Hope this helps, Good luck!

I do, but its damaged i'm afraid. Bottom lips all snapped off after i discovered the hard way it was super glued on :-(
