  3. how about the red wire going into the back of the fuel pump relay in the fuse box.... the factory immob i had on my 94 vr was wired into this... and the pin was not secured properly hence inttermittant fault... worth a look anyway, just try sticking your hand behind the fuse box push the wires up and then try to start car do this several times it might or might not work at least if it does it will narrow it doen a bit! lol
  4. lol i am but not really sure how to compare it as i bought mine in 2002 97 p 20,000 miles on the clock for £19,000! version 3 facelift sti type ra vltd no 62 out of 555 well that was the title anyway!! lol ridiculous spec colin mcrae sig car 325 bhp carbon front and rear sti braces, red top, roof hatch, pancake filter twin blow off valve 4" exhaust from turbo back, all the useual sti gumpf massivlyquick quicker than the evo5 i had and a lot more sure footed on the road felt very safe in it unlike the evo afer the spiralling fuel costs had to get rid as i just couldnt maintain the £10 to 37 miles i was getting never let me down though woudl love another but the chav factor and the fact i cant afford to run one kinda stops me dead lol

  16. only going on what steve was saying when he bought it matt, a chip is a chip and cost bugger all the map costs the money ....i guess knowledge is power once again in this one!! arrrggghhhhh
  17. How will this ecu work with say a stainless 6 branch and a larger throttle body , how about the gruven lightweight pulleys?? And what if you have a light weight flywheel? do they need to be mapped to the car?? Or is it a hope and prey generic map??? I know the mods don't give an incredible amount of power etc but these have made a massive difference in throttle response and I wonderd if a map would need to accommodate this type of stuff? Sorry I don't mean to be rude but got to say I'm a little sceptical about these maps etc ESP when you can buy the chips From e bay for £8 and fit yourself... 8 vmatt has one fitted to his vr and it claims all the same things If I'm on the wrong planet please bear with me as I am interested in what I can get out of what I have got so you can appreciate I need a little more info cheers
  18. Had first m3 at 24 Dakar yellow 3.0 24v pretty basic trim but was lovely like anything I spent some cash and put on eibach anti roll bars and eibach lowering springs had bilstein dampers as standard iirc .....lowerd it about 40 mm was absolutely awesome solid as a rock at 172mph If insets to buy one again I would without a shadow of a doubt go for the Evo 3.2 vader leather....nice 6 speed box better allrounder......
  19. Magnets sound good How about a lining????? What would it need to be I though like a fleece type lining but not sure......
  20. I think these are an awesome idea , I know you can buy generic wing protectors etc but these are going to be slightly different , this thread is all about seeing how much interest there is out there for this and to also get all your ideas good or bad down into one thread and a decision made as to what we want from a wing protector, So..... The initial idea Wing protector that covers the wing for when working on the engine cleaning the bay etc etc , so what do we want from it? It's got to be weighted at the top so it's sits in place with no damage to the paint etc the weight has to be concealed... The material possibly need to cover the whole wing??? And part of the bumper??? There needs to be a lesser weight in the bottom to keep it from flapping about and so it's aits nice and snugh against the car.
  21. Lol yes it would be !! All in good nick too!! Lol
