Anyone know of a good company in North London for some alloy welding to a head and re-facing? And preferably not too expensive. Thanks for your help. I ran diagnostics on the car and no problems came up with the lambda sensor. Tried changing the fuel filter which i thought may have solved the problem but no luck, it returned a few days later! Any other suggestions? Kunaal

Having a problem with the valver. This started happening about 3 months ago and is kind of intermittent, i.e doesnt happen everytime but, on the first start of the day the car starts fine but then after about 2-3 mins of driving the engine loses power, doesn't fire properly, revs drop and the exhaust sometimes machine guns and splutters until i rev it like a biatch and warm her up and then shes good to go all day. I've been told it might be the cold start injector cutting out too soon but im not sure. Anyone else experianced this and have a remedy? Any help is much appreciated. Kunaal

Bizzare, the cross member is labelled No.2. No. 1 is defo the rad panel. Commonly rust to buggery. I did the same as everyone has advised. Get a second hand one, clean it up as much as poss and hammerite the hell out of it!

Then by that reasoning shouldn't all corrado brake hoses be the same? The VR6 and G60 brakes are essentially the same, just different disks, and if the 16v just has a smaller version of the G60 and needs the same hoses then all corrado's have the same hoses! Im confused.com....

Hi, Im about to carry out a brake upgrade on my valver (gonna get some 280 action) and was wondering if anyone knew which braided brake hoses i need? I'm assuming a 6 line g60 kit but the list of kits is a bit confusing. Surely the vr6 kit is the same as the vr6 and g60 share the same front and rear calipers? There are some sets going cheap on ebay but im not sure they are appropriate. Some say only for pre 92 cars (which to me would include the g60) and some say for post 92 cars (which i would consider to encompass the vr6). Any help in the form of description, photo or part number would be very very much appreciated! Thanks in advance, Kunaal

Haven't actually fitted mine yet as im waiting for the laquer to harden on the all reds before i give them a final cut and polish but my resistors say: '50W 6 ohm j' if thats any help?

Does it matter which way round the terminals of the resistors are go? E.g. diodes only work one way round.

Do you need to change the hubs to fit these? I thought 288 golf carriers are part of the hubs and the 16v carriers are a bit too narrow to fit 280 discs and brakes? Kunaal

I was under the impression you could only fit 280 brakes on a valver and not the 288's unless you decided to go 5 stud. Is this not the case then? Also, i cant find the post now but i read of someone fitting 288 calipers and carriers and putting 280 disks and pads in them anyone got an opinion on this? Will this work as per the usual 280 setup? The ones i had were ok but didnt seem to exert as much pressure on the screen as proper aero ones. Although, compared to regular blades they were a good improvment.

Not tried those exact ones but they look like ones i have used in the past. They're aero wipers but with the old school style clip, so yes, they just clip onto existing arms.

I finally got the arches rolled and the borbets on, and no rubbing at all with 215/14/16's Though i do have coillies now.

Genius mate!!! I thought i was going to have to cut wires and all sorts of nasty things so i was going to go for leaving gaps in the red over the inicators. Lifesaver!

Tried the non gti wipers, seem to have the exact same problema as the standard rado ones
