My C came from a guy in the Wrexham / Chester / Mold area. I think he buys and sells VWs of various types quite a lot. His name is Alonzo, I think. Perhaps that's one source of Corrados seen buzzing up and down the A55 :)

That number plate has got to be worth a couple of quid to someone working for PVW magazine, surely?!
-
funds sent and postal address details on return PM, cheers :)
-
The jetset lifestyle, eh?! ;)
-
Yes please, I'll take it for £55. Paypal OK?
-
OK, done! Cheers ...looking forward to having a good giggle ;)

If you can find the Corrado Buyers Guide on here, it includes a how-to guide to switch the MFA into boost display mode, iirc. I didn't buy a G60 in the end so never tried it... Hopefully that might help :) chris

Black, late spec bulging bonnet, badgeless grill, blurred red model badge, came racing over the London Road railway bridge in Nottingham on Saturday at about 13:00hrs. Not enough time to wave but you seemed to be enjoying yourself ;)

Nice! ...I usually just jam a 500ml bottle through the passenger seat adjust handle ;) -
Brilliant, thanks! I just bought a gear gaiter, so I can fit my 8-ball without taking my standard gaiter and knob apart - thanks loads!!! :D Chris

Hi folks, I thought i'd drop by the thread again to vouch for the quality and ease of fitting this kit. Yes, there is an awkward bit of metal to cut away (simple dremel job, less easy with hacksaw blade in fingers and a needle file) but it is not technically challenging and certainly within reach of anyone who can change engine oil or fit a car stereo. I took my C out after fitting and it worked straight away, making a huge difference and really tightening up the usually rather ponderous gear change, especially forward and backward. i've got a little bit of fiddling to do this evening to make sure i'm 100% happy with the alignment, however now I've had the mechanism out and looked at the instruction sheet Dave provided, it's only two bolts to move a little bit so I'm not phased at all. ...so, don't let the cutting job put you off - even I can do it! Thanks again Dave!

Doh, i seem to keep missing out on big brakes right now! I'll happily take second dibs if d3927 doesn't go through with the purchase :)
-
I'll be keen to take third dibs if captainredeye doesn't take them :)

My completely standard 16v mk2 with a few bodywork problems but with replacement parts included in the sale only got me £1500 in december. Perhaps it must have been modded cars or super low miler grandad owned cars that are changing hands for big money. Standard ones on average mileage sure aren't!

Oh dear, get well soon! :)

Yes please, this sounds a great idea. Please send me the details :) I'm happy to do cash on collection if that helps. Cheers! Chris

Yes, 2litres if warm and well drained. I filled from jacked, but to ensure I didn't overfil, I whipped out the fill plug again on the level. It's really hard to undo the seized drain and fill plugs unless you're under it. Don't forget to get the fill plug out first. It gets really corroded and stuck due to road salt etc... My gear change loads better after doing mine and filling with that redline stuff.

Is this the car that's been lurking around the back of the Nottingham Gala Casino? The blue VR6 ****PVW?

I'm not an electrical expert but I recall being told that the MAF and Lambda share a fault code under the OBD1 standard and are closely linked in terms of fueling control, you might want to look at the Lambda probe leads too, since they crack under the heat. Pulling the lead off will generate a fault code, so ideally you want to clear your fault codes down and then run the car, and then check the fault codes again... also, when I replaced my MAF with a new OEM unit a few years back, GSF had them and they were approx half the price of a modern car's equivilent. Approx £100 instead of nearer £200.
