These wheels look so good on a Corrado.

-
yes please, will send you a pm

I've just had the pleasure of undoing these last week. bugger of a job if they are seized but have replaced with new bolts and a bit of Tef-gel on the threads
-
Great looking car. The colour combinations are spot on
-
Thanks, it's maybe not as clean as it looks, could do with a full paint job but no rust or anything too bad. the nice thing about not using the car daily is I can take my time. I had the brake line joints squirted every day for three days before un-doing then used one of these flare nut spanners to undo https://eshop.wurth.com.au/Brake-line-wrench-set-flexible-4-pieces-DBENDRGSKTWRNCH-SET-FLEX-WS8-15MM-4PCS/071427050.sku/en/US/AUD/ The harder you pull, the tighter they grip

I've been laying on my back for hours touching in the under seal where needed and very patiently changing the brake hoses for braided ones including the inners at the rear beam I've also stripped the calipers and carriers, then painted them black and refitted with new bolts and stainless bleed nipples More coming very soon
-
Here we go Up in the air. Braided brake lines going on the rear to match the fronts and where there is a bit of damage to the under seal I will be using the wire wheel to take back and then re-apply Anyone after a 16 valve? Nice big stoppers on the front

That looks very fresh -
I'm marginally jealous. I have a B7 A4 avant as a daily but only a tfsi engine. Gorgeous cars the rs4
-
It will be great once painted. I think I'll be in a similar situation too looking for a new tailgate
-
Thanks Spuddy, it is a nice wheel and feels good too. Next up to fit is my three spoke black leather Italvolanti and give that a go
-
I've had a pair of these stashed away for years but seem to remember you need to hack up the fog light casing to fit them. That's why I haven't put mine in. If you do go for it could you take a few pictures along the way?

I haven't updated this for a while, lots going on but the corrado is at mine and in the garage. I've had it on the road and bedded in the new brakes, adjusted the ride height and had the alignment set (-1 degree camber on the front). I've given it a full machine polish, cleaned the interior thoroughly and set about a few niggles. The old 16v doesn't have the power I need but this car seriously hustles in the corners. I haven't got anywhere near the limit of traction yet. I think I'd forgotten what it was like to drive a Corrado fast since only driving modern cars lately. Finally I've got to fit my wooden Italvolanti Imola steering wheel. I'm a bit torn as to whether to keep it or not as it does stand out a lot. Could be a good thing though on a car like this

Good catch easypops. My bumper was already removed. whoops
-
It's not too tricky but they are bonded on at the rear vertical edge. Remove the bolts along the top of the wing and slam panel, remove the screws holding the inner wheel arch to the wing, there is a bolt hidden inside the door shut and one at the base of the wing into the underside of the sill. Then to remove mine, I used a hot air gun to heat up the sealant carefully and used a length of mouse line (string) to cut through the sealant while gently pulling the wing away from the body of the car. Hopefully that helps out and I haven't missed any bolts out
-
that was my thinking looking at what others have done
-
looking good but will the master cylinder be ok still? I thought the normal fix was to swap to a stubby master cylinder
-
watching with interest

My local branch has always been a bit hit and miss with serving the public. Some weekes it's ok, other weeks it isn't. Would it be possible to setup an account for the forum does anyone know?

If they are the originals, it wouldn't hurt to.
