    Cup holder

I'm after one of the cup holders that someone made up a long time ago that fits into the rear ashtray. If anyone has one they would part with or knows where i could find one please let me know. Thanks Sent from my SM-G388F using Tapatalk

Sounds like a goer then. Any thoughts on Bosch or Siemens? Sent from my SM-G388F using Tapatalk

I'm not sure on that one. From what I understand the Siemens deka injectors work well with the 5v head but others are saying Bosch. Would be looking at 550cc for 300bhp but I can't seem to find any Siemens that size only 630cc.

I know what you mean but I trust the guys and their work. It was making more power but was wound back to protect the engine. I'm of a mind to get these injectors tested and run them for now and look along the lines of a K04 hybrid at the same time as larger injectors, then back for mapping. There's still work to do to the rest of the car and I should probably stop the spending for now
  7. How many silencers are in the system? Thanks

Thanks Stu. I was getting a bit tired of the limitations of the agu ecu and lack of tuners wanting to touch it. That and the possibility of a change of turbo and other mods in the future that would just be easier to run off a stand alone ecu like the Emerald. I've also got the advantage of having switchable maps which is nice. Currently have a low boost, actuator pressure map at 175 bhp which is silky smooth and good on fuel, a full power 262 bhp map and another full power map but with pops and bangs for when I'm going to the in-laws.

I've had the car back for a couple of days. Was rollered at 262 bhp on very honest rollers at 16 psi of boost and 26 degrees of timing. The engine and turbo has a lot more to give but was all tuned conservatively due to the injectors not supplying enough fuel and possibly at least one of them having a poor spray pattern which I need to get tested. The clutch is nowhere near as aggressive as I thought it would be. So the main objective of getting the car running well is complete and now showing up other areas that need improving. The car feels great to drive well and is fairly nippy but could easily handle more power through the drivetrain and chassis. I'm still aiming for 300 bhp after bigger injectors which should be rapid and make better use of the long ratios on the diesel gearbox that is fitted
  10. Looks great. Same colour as my one
  11. Hi Simon It sounds like easy to fix items. Have a search around the forum, the guys on here know everything you would ever need to know. Get some pictures of the car up in the readers ride section, it would be great to see what you've got
  12. shame about the cv joints, i've used GKN before and they seemed fine. How many running in miles are you looking to put on the motor?

That sounds about right. I want to change the rear hubs to the Polo version to ditch the taper bearings so could have a look then
  14. I've probably gone over the top with my mounts having Vibratechnics all round and a polybushed front cross member but there is still movement there. I was trying to avoid flex due to the 3" downpipe being so snug. You'd probably be ok on standard mounts in good condition. The cambelt cover is close to the master cylinder but there is a safe amount of clearance. For brakes and being four stud fitment, I wanted a bolt on option that was fairly inexpensive so opted for 305mm discs from a Seat Ibiza Cupra R with Porsche 911/Boxster S front 4 pot Brembos with off the shelf adapters. They seem to stop it well even on standard road pads.

Nope. To be honest, the wheel doesn't look like its moved forward much but I guess it wouldn't take much
  16. Hi Luke, I work on sailing yachts as a trade and am fairly hands on but no electrician. I used some of the guides on club gti for the wiring and just got stuck in one weekend. Once you've stripped it all down, it's not too hard. You'll need to send off the agu ecu to have the immobiliser removed if you want to use your existing ignition and clocks. You may be fine on the standard gearbox but the turbo engine will have more torque than the 16v and want to break traction, plus I'm sure that knowing you're just a remap away from more power you'll give in to temptation and get it turned up. Any descent exhaust shop should be able to chop in a cat to whichever downpipe you choose. Personally I'd go for a k03s, especially whilst it's all apart but I never seem to have enough power. It will need a remap to get the most of it though

The postman has been today with these two parts. Sachs performance friction plate and pressure plate. I can see why they are so expensive now Sent from my SM-G388F using Tapatalk

I rolled both arches at the weekend. Mine were touching in the same place as yours and mullered one of my brand spanking Bridgestones. I just watched a load of YouTube tutorials and was good to go, just use lots of heat and be very patient with applying little amounts of pressure at a time. Thanks for the comments on the interior. The centre gauges are also backlit DDI which look awesome. Just need to get my Pole Positions in and tidy up
  19. No problem. I've started using the Tapatalk app since losing photo bucket

I've also got my Cult Society ducts fitted and have been getting involved rolling the rear arches as I shredded the o/s rear tyre down some bumpy lanes. The car is also booked in this weekend at the engine tuners for final mapping on an Emerald ecu plus Sachs performance clutch kit, can't wait Sent from my SM-G388F using Tapatalk

It's been a bit quiet with the Corrado lately due to spending a load of time before LoCo show, went for a quick drive and the heater matrix spigot in the engine bay crumbled off. I had a severe lack of enthusiasm to fix it but all sorted now. That wasn't one of the easiest jobs but done without removing the whole dash Sent from my SM-G388F using Tapatalk
  22. Welcome along, I've recently carried out this conversion and willing to help with any questions you may have. I've also got an AGU ecu for sale that I had the immobiliser removed from that I won't need from this weekend if that helps out. I've got spare engine looms too. For a downpipe and chargepipe i'd look to these guys http://trackslag.com/index.php?id_category=13&controller=category. I have their 3" downpipe and charge pipe for my K04 which are spot on You're current mounts will be fine but i'd check the condition of them and replace as needed I have no experience of this but the vr6 friction plate is used as an upgrade depending on how much power you are aiming for and use your current flywheel. It could be worth changing out the gearbox to a diesel box or 02J as the ratios on your current 16v box will be fairly short Oli
  23. I can't believe that no-one has bitten at these yet. Quite hard to find these days

    VR6 clutch

Given that it is common to use the VR6 friction plate on a 20vt swap, what power levels will they take realistically? Thanks
  25. I think the RE002 could well be out of production. I bought the last one in 205/40/17 the other week. When I was looking, there is an RE003 but it wasn't available in the uk at the time
