Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between ecus for the 9a engine? Mine is knackered and the new one I've got is a slightly different part number. Any help would be appreciated

from experience it's well worth it getting the car on the rollers and set up by someone who is familiar with that engine. you'll hopefully get it sorted and with more power and economy

my wipers are now fantastic after they eventually got posted! has anyone else found that there is a fair bit of play in either the linkage or the wiper motor which has become more obvious by the grippier wiper blades? is there a cure for this other than whole new parts?

has anyone had any experience with them? i've recently bought a rear brace on ebay and been sent a front lower one instead. basically i don't really want it and have settled on a new price to keep it. is it worth putting on the car or should i sell it on?

does anyone have one of these fitted? i remember nearly buying one on several occasions for my mk2 golf but never doing it. now kicking myself for not getting one as they are no longer made as far as i know. so looking to get one made up and if anyone has one and wouldn't mind putting up the dimensions that would be good. they were triangulated down to the boot floor so mega sturdy with no flex. if i could get one made up i'm sure i could get some more if anyone is interested. let me know if you have one. thanks

i'll have a search for air leaks but would that make it whistle louder? that's definately related

my 2.0 16v has started running rich intermitantly and i have no idea why. i have noticed that when it is running rich i can hear the metering head whistling away reasonably loudly which must have some bearing. any ideas why and what could cause this to happen? thanks
