Enthusiasts are getting older, some will need autos going forward
-
People use the pedal box for conversions and prices are high on his sought after item, many manual boxes will be worn too. Add clutch and flywheel and you'll be in similar money to an overhauled auto? ECU will be different as will he loom?, Console, gear knob and gator, shifter and cables, dash clocks too? Driveshafts? Starter, gearbox to engine bolts?
-
Auto is rare, why would you?

Does the v6 4mO and r32 have one? Is he Corrado dash more honest than most other (newer) cars?

Don't buy Topran anything and expect it to last (or presume it can't be the current issue as its previously been renewed).

If you have 2 x 10mm spacers you could use the for trial fit by stacking them to test for clearance? Then calculate the size needed from there?

Pass, but in use the intake is cooled by incoming air?

I'd try and keep those doors if poss, if the others need paint you'll have the issue with obsolete scraper seals etc

Drill a round hole and smack a torxs bit in there?

Used can fetch up to £300 for one in VGC. If it was me I'd make 2 rectangular grills to cover the top with speaker type material (not trying for an exact match) and Velcro them in place

If your scanner connects and code reads the ecu it's powered up so 109 is working? No movement on tacho suggests crank sensor - the ecu doesn't know the engines position so wont inject fuel or spark. Where abouts are you? Someone local may be able to loan you a crank sensor

Factory immobiliser is on the same fuse as the spoiler, if the spoiler can be raised there should be power to the immobiliser too.

Just to show how insane auction prices can be https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/sat-27th-sun-28th-february/1973-bond-bug-700-es/

Early front bumper, wings and bonnet, late rear bumper? I think its £2.5K, rusty spring mount is advisory 12 years ago, no interior or under bonnet pics - maybe they'll update these? I'd 100% want to view before I bid
-
This weeks episode was from March last year, there'll be a wait before the Corrado makes an appearance - if it actually does. Has old advisories for rusty spring mounts

VW spent time and money developing the manifolds (as well as the cylinder head) to the point aftermarket don't flow or work any better and tubular tend to crack. Due to the cylinder configuration 3 front exhaust ports are longer than the back set (inlets are the opposite) so OE and aftermarket are working with a compromise due to the uniqueness of the engine, on the upside we get the noise!
