I tried to get a set for my Golf VR6 back in 1999, I’ve sent emails to racing teams just in case they have some to sell..... i gave rave up a few years ago, maybe lol
-
Buyer beware, I tried to buy these 2 weeks ago, the seller said £350 needing a refurb, which puts them at £700+. Today the same wheels appeared for £220 ono with this pic Not as hard to find a spare of these as the speedlines, but that could look much better with a grind and thick powderCoat? Did you buy them?

90% sure the cups have a larger cap. Measure your cap and ask the seller to measure the wheels

I can't find on, racing cars didn't have caps because they fly off. The A59 Golf prototype have black caps on?

Nope, they're different

These are old wheels now with both competition history as well as pot holed streets. A thick coat of powder hides a multitude of sins and finding someone who'll sell a single alloy to make a set is nigh on impossible. The last set I saw for sale were rough, without centre caps that are obsolete. I've been trying to buy a set for 20 years..........

I'd say they're cups, Subaru usually have an offset around 50 (ideal for VW with spacers), date is around about too

With 6 bolts and 3 dowels it’s not going anywhere, the pressure plate is also bolted up to it. I have a GnG lightened FW on the shelf. I should have the pistons out tomorrow, so far apart from the bore scoring everything looks in vgc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rods look ok, bearings too - but they’ve got to be cleaned up yet. Piston rings are semi seized as are the fudge on pins due to my lack of activity with the car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GnG? Did he loctite it back on?

With the clutch cover in place it’s located with 3 dowels and 6 bolts so shouldn’t be an issue really? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good on you.

I don't think its cracked or modified in any way, I'm going back into the garage for an hour later, I'll look a bit more in depth at it

Pulled the engine and gearbox out of the storm yesterday, started stripping / separating ancillary bits and bobs earlier, the ring gear is loose on the flywheel? Has anyone seen this before?

I was quite entertained by the thread TBH R32 is multi baffled and shallow 4Mo is baffled to a lesser degree and standard height

Surely if they make two different types of screen they should be able to explain the difference between encapsulated and non encapsulated? edit

I think I just removed the old roller with pliers, rolled the new roller down the channel and used the pliers to pinch the new roller onto the ball joint? Do one at a time to stop the lot falling into the door (worst roller first). I donated the one good roller to another forum member, the rear most roller was destroyed falling out of the channel.
