Not Corrado related but started experimenting with electrolysis rust removal with a golf rear axle and emptied this morning wheely bin It’s only just gone in and I’m slightly underwhelmed atm. My neighbour has been doing engine ancillaries for over a week now with good effect. Anyone else tried it? https://www.clubgti.com/forums/index.php?threads/electrolysis-everyone-should-try-this-diy.129882/ This is where we’ve had the idea from Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How have you tested the battery?

I'm a bit pissed about the pressure dents from crap piled on it in the loft TBH, hopefully they'll pop out again

My raid was a bit like the bottom one but 3 spoke Italvolante Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine was an 8V, no red writing

I'd hammer a bi-hex socket onto them

I had a Raid 3 spoke on my MK2, it had individual horn buttons on the leather covered spokes and centre. I replaced it with an Italvolante 4 spoke with leather covered spokes and centre horn push, this was a dealer option in the day. I'm not a fan of the bolts on show in the centre - it looks a bit too motorsport IMO

It looks like something ford used to disguise the VW connection on the Galaxy MK1 (in conjunction with a carefully placed blue oval - off a big truck!).

I just can't get my head around what you want to do, maybe its being locked down sending me crazy..... You started with a donkey, stretched it to a thoroughbred, but want to label it as a zebra? I've not even had a drink - for over 3 weeks. No offence meant.

From where I'm sitting you could grind out part of the 8 to make a 9? I'm not a fan of the look if I'm honest

I ended up pressing mine out, the passenger side was stuck solid. You could try putting the nut back on to protect the thread and hammer a piece of wood against it?

Angle grinder wins the day Crank pulley bolt is no longer an issue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stock are also 54mm pistons, the improvement is from a larger pad area and larger diameter disk
-
MK4 have the same set up with 288s as long as you use the MK3 disk. I've never seen a rusty / chrome peeling MK4 piston, I presume they are stainless?

Well I’ve now bought my second 46mm spanner to remove the crank pulley, y to he first wouldn’t stay on the pulleys hex, the second held well enough for this to happen. 30 years I’ve had that bar [sobs] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
