It was Henny, its in his build thread Post 124 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?12211-Henny-s-G60-(Now-owned-by-Dox)/page13

Its hard enough to sell these cars for £4K, the £40K to me is to get people talking and spreading the word until someone picks up a "Bargain" for much less. I only bought my Corrados because they were cheap, so maybe my comments aren't worth a fig anyway?

You know the VR8 heads they make for the W16s in Bugattis?
Dox replied to corrado33's topic in Engine Bay
I doubt it, they put a dent in the chassis leg for clearance on the VR? MK2 retro fit needs to have its chassis leg dented for clearance too? 2 extra cylinders would need the leg cutting out? The extra weight wont help handling either -
http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?29449-Re-Corrado-storm-vr6 Pretty sure its this car, Jon still posts here so he can confirm it if he sees this post? The lad who bought the car from Jon wanted the private plate E 57ORM I think, the car went to a lad in Leeds then looks to have been sold on again

I have 2 sets of Subaru wheels, 16" OZ crono off an Imprezza that wont fit on the VW hub and a set of 16" make unknown (they look similar to OZ mito) off a Forrester which have a centre bore larger than the C so spigots rings will be needed.

So must have a separate belt for PAS? The pump I sold was conventional V belt
-
G60 is conventional V belt (Not multi V like VR6)? There's a fine line between belt slip and too tight accelerating front bearing wear on the alternator. Grab the alternator pulley and push / pull to check for wear
-
Pads jammed in the carriers? Slides moving freely? Are the brakes getting hot due to the calliper holding on after the pedal is released?
-
Old cars are expensive to run if you can't do basic repairs yourself. 3-4 hours labour plus parts - labour rates vary depending on where you live, parts prices vary depending on quality. They're not beyond a DIYer even a first timer.
-
They only make you paranoid anyway...….
-
Same as MK3 late VR6 on the front
-
288 / 312 have the same banjo fittings as MK4 rears, so neither will attach standard to Corrado flexis. 312s need 6mm spacers to align the callipers to the disks

I looked into having custom spacers made but due to the length of the boss on the rear disks they would have to be 25mm plus otherwise the centring boss on the spacer is prone to shearing off due to lack of material on the spacer. Redborbet / redborbon a user on here has opened up a few sets of Subaru fit wheels and they’ve looked great in the pics he’s posted in his build thread.
-
It’s been done several times carefully with a drill and bobbin sander. Subaru usually have a higher offset so need spacers to clear the struts
-
Its just a Topran (hover the cursor over the left hand side of the image), so available from other sources for less

Anyone near you that can loan you a known good coil pack? https://www.autozone.com/repairguides/Volkswagen-Eurovan-2000-03/Firing-Orders/Firing-Orders/_/P-0996b43f803830c7

An old trick for finding water ingress is to shake talc or baby powder around the floor then look for tide marks after a storm / hosing down
-
I had the clutch issue, eventually the slave failed completely dumping a puddle fluid on the road outside the house. I fitted a used one off a 16V gearbox I have stored in the shed
-
I'd assumed at 700 odd horses he'd got some rather impressive brakes and the ABS would be long gone? The gearbox sensor would read wheel speed which with 700BHP wouldn't necessarily be road speed

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1974-Suzuki-RV125-Van-Van-Unregistered-US-Import-Barn-Find-Restoration-Project/333428537229?autorefresh=true Gives you and idea what yours will fetch on ebay
-
That really is good news
-
If the VRT is FWD why not use a signal from a rear wheel ABS sensor to get true road speed rather than wheel spinning gearbox speeds?
