  1. The rubber mounts inside my swirl pot rotted away and allowed the pump to move around draining the swirl pot causing a miss around roundabouts on low tank levels. Mine was a beige coloured pot with internal mounts, not the more common white with external mounts. If you're unplugging stuff with the engine running you will cause fault codes doing so, its best to record them, clear them then drive again without fiddling with any sensors before a rescan to give a better insight.
  2. Be careful what you open the throttle with, if it gets sucked on you may end up with a beggar headache
  3. That sits inside a carb surrounded by oil and damps the needle valves operation inside a main jet. We have a throttle damper (not a dash pot) that steadies the throttle plate as it closes allowing the idle valve time to function properly. This looks a better option? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-CRESTA-VISCOUNT-AUTO-TRANSMISSION-ZENITH-CARB-DAMPER-UNIT-N-O-S/382578095741
  4. And your kidnappers allow you to continue using social media so as not to arouse the suspicions of your friends and family. What would you post to raise the alarm without your kidnappers realising what you're up to?
  5. Each cell in a battery is 2.1V, times 6 is 12.6V, you don't really want to see anything less than 12.6V, but you don't know the accuracy of the meter you're using? If a battery is capable of cranking a cold engine to a position when its running, its easily capable of maintaining it until its charge is depleted. If you charge a battery from either a 240V charger or the cars alternator you need to allow the battery to rest for a few hours for the voltage readings to be meaningful.

    Torpan Sump Pan

I have a 4motion MK4 sump ready to use when needed, being cast alloy the flange doesn't distort like a steel sump when you tighten the bolts up into the gasket. Put a straight edge across the row of bolt holes on your old or replacement steel sump too see how distorted they are and the likelihood of seepage.

    VR6 cams

Petty much that, the Schrick fills the hole on the power curve usually weakened by the longer duration cams. For a road engine its better to view the area underneath the power curve rather than max power at XXXXRPM

    VR6 cams

I've never seen anyone flamed here for asking questions, we all share what we know to anyone who asks. This forums search is notoriously poor.

    VR6 cams

263s for standard engines and 268s for engines with Schrick VGis or pierberg VSRs according to Stealth via Kev Bacon from a few years ago.
  11. Try kufatec for the looms and MJ interiors for the seat foams

    Cat C

Jay Renahaw struggled to find a buyer for his cat C http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?100262-FOR-SALE-Black-Magic-Pearl-Corrado-VR6
  13. I’d look for a replacement hatch and swap it over. Large panels rarely sell because people won’t put themselves out to collect them in person so they’re cheap. Rust free wins over a repaired panel every time for me, I’ve driven 100s of miles for the correct panel in the correct colour, usually early on a Sunday morning to avoid traffic
  14. I’d be looking for something like this. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263747513068 Dvla mileage indicates it’s genuine, it was an auto so it’s had a nice easy life without labouring and unlikely to have been thrashed either. A top end overhaul and a chain kit would leave change from a grand if you get your hands dirty

    G60 Rear Axle

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Corrado-Vr6-Rear-Axle/283165932365?hash=item41ee013b4d:g:pIEAAOSw2aVacEMA This has been for sale for ages. Its the only one on ebay, but you may find another in a "breaking" or "wheel bolt" advert?
  16. Hot air rises, the bonnet is only sealed on the rear edge so heat will leave via the bonnet to wing gaps and via the grill when the fans aren't running. The bonnet itself will act as a heat soak radiating the heat into the atmosphere.

    G60 Rear Axle

I kept my spare because it was to my eyes good, when I posted a pic of it in a wanted ad the enquirer wanted a better one, so my good is anothers poor? I think MK2 is wider? MK3 even wider?

    G60 Rear Axle

The last discussion I remember came to the conclusion all rear axles are the same between models? I have a G60 axle behind the shed, not sure what good condition is for a 25+ year old axle? I'm a long way from Perth too.
  19. Any updates? I notice its been a long while since you last posted, I hope life is treating you well mate
  20. Mounted far too low in a Corrado and make you paranoid, I'll stick with my period cassette mount that cost £8

  22. It looks like the spoiler is lowered too?
  23. The pic was taken at a reasonable height so shows how effective it would be - far better than inside the screen - see the light reflecting off it in the same pic? I bet Fuzzer has loads of spoilers hanging around - I've skipped 2 I couldn't sell.
