There’s lots of nice comments here about Bally’s 16v but all the images have long disappeared. RIP Bally Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is nothing on FB as far as I'm aware, my comment was due to the FB steam train forums are closing and databases lost etc, photobucket is killing off forums too

Lots of old links are now dead due to dwindling numbers and the Facebook revolution... http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6862263-Schrick-VGI-Installation-and-Information#/topics/6862263 When I get around to fitting mine I’ll place a blob of blue tac where the mani fouls the bonnet and a blob of emulsion paint on that that will transfer to the reinforcement as the bonnet is gently closed

It would be over pressure holding the followers open so the stalling was due to the valves being held open and lack of compression.

Some say they can't scan C ABS, but mine scans with VCDS. Whereabouts are you? I presume you have the reluctor rings fitted to the rear discs? Your car seems to be seeing a speed differential front to rear? Happy to scan anyone if they're close to Cheshire

You have the same size tyres front and back? Have you scanned it?

You could re drill 288mm to 4 x 100? MK3 VR6 288mm and MK4 288mm disks have different offsets, you'd need to dry fit with pads before drilling. Fiat coupe non turbo 284mm disks are 4 x 100 but need the centre bore opening out to fit VAG hubs and are the correct offset for the 288mm calipers.
-
Looks like you have 288mm brakes and 280mm disks? If so the pad will over hang the disk and in some cases the disk will over heat and the pedal will go to the floor when used in anger

I did my mk2 with threaded bar and a piece of 4 inch steam pipe (slightly crushed) too, tensioned followed by a tap with a hammer and repeat x lots. I cleaned out the orifaces and lubed the bushes too to help them home. If the axle is off the car a normal hydraulic press should do the job also?
