I've never seen fish nets on a Corrado, are they standard seats? Pic?

EMISSIONS HELP CO high, co2 low hc high, o2 high - rich mixture with ignition misfire CO high, co2 low hc high, o2 low -faulty thermostat or coolant sensor CO low, co2 low hc low, o2 high - exhaust leak after cat CO low, co2 high, hc low, o2 high - injector misfire, cat ok CO high, co2 low, hc medium to low, o2 high - rich mixture CO high, co2 high, hc high, o2 high - injector misfire, cat not working, combination of rich mixture and vacuum leak CO low, co2 high, hc low, 02 low, good afr and cat operation- system normal . lambda typical range 0.97 to 1.03 [ ideal lambda 1 ] The emissions limits to be met are specified for both the fast and normal idle tests. At fast idle, CO must be at or less than 0.2%, HC at or less than 200 parts per million (ppm), and the lambda value(1) must be between 0.97 and 1.03. At normal idle, CO must be at or less than 0.3%

You're in remission, not cured until you've passed the 5 year mark......

I prefer an affliction of Corrados or maybe a Blight of Corrados

Same thing, ecu loses power and needs to relearn the sensor values.

Mine will rev up and down after a flat battery, it sorts, itself out after a few journeys / heat cycles. Clear the codes and take it for a drive before rescanning that way you'll get the actual codes rather than ghost codes from your investigations.
-
With a removed or broken the engine earth and most sensors are earthed to the block, the heavy cranking current will try and back feed through the ecu to the battery, electronics cant carry this amount of current and blow - the injector side can blow and the injectors stay open filling the cylinders with fuel or possibly not opening at all?. You could fit a second strap as a permanent or temporary solution?
-
Make sure the battery to engine / body earth lead is clean, secure etc as a poor earth lead can blow an ecu as heavy current tries to pass through it instead of the earth cable Fingers crossed for you

I doubt floor staff are paid a huge amount, techs pay isn't up to much either

They make very little on new cars, so have to cream off everything else to keep those glass palaces open

Have you tried Thursdave on the forum? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91265-Your-Friendly-Neighbourhood-VW-Parts-Department!-FORUM-DISCOUNT-AVAIALBLE! I'm surprised there's not been a group buy? People don't bat an eye buying bling / alloys etc, but a couple of hundred to see where you're going in the rain.... Not having a go, just adding some perspective, it really is a good mod, I wouldn't want to go back that's for sure. Loads of TTs being broken on FB groups atm, maybe a wanted ad?

It might be worth mentioning your location? I find it easier to upload pics via the tapatalk app. GLWS

Examine the electrolytic capacitors for bulging / leakage - its an age related thing Also dry solder joints on the rear
-
The codes are for weekends only. New code this Friday If you have a spark then it's unlikely to be a crank sensor issue, duff crank sensor gives no spark or fuel injected

1, I'm not sure the injectors are fired with 12V? 2, The duration of the injector opening might not be long enough to actually illuminate that bulb? 3 The bulb is too high wattage (whats it rated at?) for fault finding - drawing too much current possibly - leading to blown ecu etc A low wattage 9V LED would be better for fault finding IMO, sacrifice the LED rather than ecu etc

Starters usually crank at 3-400 RPM so if you can get the car to rev higher on sniff and some heat in the cylinders anything is possible.
-
Its always worth having a can of easy start when trying to trace a non start, disconnect trunking and spray inside the manifold whilst cranking. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Holts-Bradex-Easy-Start-Spray-300ml-Car-Van-Truck-For-Petrol-Diesel-Eng-a-/322333510446?hash=item4b0c930b2e:g:oKwAAOSwv0tVaHwn Most petrol stations stock it, my lawn mower get a good "sniff" before the first cut of the year
