Nice car with period upgrades, I couldn't fathom why it took so long to sell?

BREMBO retrofit on the Corrado, anyone done this? What ones fit?
Dox replied to EJ Taylor's topic in Drivetrain
You don't have to go the goodridge route, you can fit MK3 banjo front hoses http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK3-GTI-16V-VR6-FRONT-BRAKE-HOSE-288MM-DISCS-1H0611701B-A98-/200847294712?fits=Model%3AGolf&hash=item2ec36e80f8:m:m37Ra7B_mzOCya5koeCWK-A -

GSF have Brembo disks at £52 each, use the weekend voucher code for 40+% off? They do Vetech pads too, but they're not for me so I'd look elsewhere OE pads http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-AUDI-A1-A3-VW-GOLF-PASSAT-FRONT-BRAKE-PADS-4-288MM-312MM-DISCS-/191807010007?hash=item2ca896b4d7:g:sEsAAOSwUuFWvfMk -

I've sold them for £40 posted on the understanding they were fully working when removed but require inspection / overhaul before reusing. -

I've broken a few MK4s so I have a few pairs of them and 312s on the shelf, I've bought new Goodrich lines, disks and pads from the classifieds here and elsewhere. I'll strip and blast the callipers myself. Both my cars are currently SORN due to lack of time ATM -

When it comes to brake work I'm going 288s when the time comes as the 280 set up will be sold on to the 4 stud crowd for more than the 288s cost me and as I'll need disks and pads anyway the difference in there cost will be negligible, so its hoses and fluid and whatever to refurb the callipers. -

How much longer are 288mm MK3 disks going to be available? Prices are difficult to quote as quality will vary and if you're upgrading you'll want the best available rather than budget? -

Link doesn't work for me

I enquired to have some made up for Subaru wheel fitment to Corrado by the link below, he said that to bore them to clear the rear disks boss would leave the wheel mounting boss very weak and liable to shear off. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15mm-VW-AUDI-5x112-Hubcentric-Wheel-Spacers-57-1-bore-10-Wheel-Bolts-UK-Made-/121962783051?hash=item1c658c614b:g:8f8AAOSw7NNUKmoe Are yours steel or alloy? Do you have a link you could share please :)

You could fit stub axle spacers to the rear or non hub-centric spacers (not recommended)
-
The rear disk bosses measure around 18mm (plus the flange around the bearing dust cap) so you're talking around 25mm or so for the spacer to allow some meat on the hub-centric spacer to prevent the spacers flange shearing off.

There's a few of us who've had success changing the bulb, Maplin sell single bulbs suitable for the job.
-
I think you need to resolve this, the Corrado community is small and close knit, mud sticks and it will surely affect future sales? Cars that are little used wouldn't show up a beam pattern issue until the annual MOT test
-
Full leather interior is £5-600? Grey is not that sought after, if the buyer is decent I personally wouldn't risk the sale for £200. "Old aught ur and!" and be shot of it

A mate of mine swapped his alfa 147 for one on swapz website, it broke down several times before being diagnosed as a wrongun due to the wiring behind the dash being burnt, the other party never answered their phone.... Maybe he was busy driving the fault free alfa! I don't think car swaps work, someone is always short changed and feels aggrieved. When it went it went well, as above the 5 cylinder cars require engine removal for a timing belt change so make sure its been done recently.

I've broken a few myself lol

A local car to me, welcome :)
