Coxys R32 4 Motion Corrado - On the Road!!!!
24V Renshaw replied to CoxyLaad's topic in Members Gallery
Well the MK4 ABS that I have sits in a completely different place, further forward and down on the chassis leg, so I had no problems as its as per a MK4 for me. When I installed the climatronic when it was a G60 I had no ABS so there was no problem. :) Yes the pipes do have to exit there through the firewall there. There are diffferent designs, the Passat seal/pipe arrangement is different to the MK4 one... if that makes any difference... Jay -
Hopefully Paul. Will give you a bell on the day mate. Jay
-
Nope, unless Coxy has kept his charger..... but JBS have a MK2.
-
Me and my mate made mine with a 6" length of steel tube and a hell of a lot of time and welding! :) It was made bit by bit so it fitted perfectly and was no where near any part of the car, so no knocking. Cost all of £4 for the tube. It was made about 8 months ago when I first got the 24v engine in and running. Jay
-
Yes yours would need to be exactly the same as mine. My difficulty would be getting it off and copied while still driving the car every day :) Jay
-
I can give you a hand if you do it. not much work at all in changing over to the VR setup as long as you have all the bits ready. Jay
-
450BHP 4WD and a Charger and Turbo..... who cares about the styling taste, thats an impressive car. good work! Jay
-
Andrew. The exhaust would be useable, but the rest of the front of the car would not as you would want to run complete VR6 front end setup, subframes, rack etc

Did you put a quaife/Peloquin diff in? Jay -
Awww thanks guys  I can't afford to do it any other way :) I would consider doing one for £2500+engine. :) :doc:

Welcome to the fold mate. :) Told you, you would love the torque. Its interesting to hear the impression from a previous 12v owner as I went from a G60 so couldn't do a direct comparison. Quick aren't they ;) Jay

Feel free to give me a shout if you need a hand with yours at any point. Stan, Its standard 24v apart from a K&N......at the moment. ;) Jay -

If the local clergy stop reversing into it, I should be fine :) Ben - BAD paint "dulls down alot". My paint is 4 years old and its never ever "dulled down" infact it got better the more I polished it. Jay -

Cheers Mike and Krazee I have yet to wash and wax it so we will see what its like then :) Jay -
Anyone know any decent breakers yards around South Manchester into Cheshire (Wilmslow, Alderly Edge etc). Henny this may be something you can answer. I need to sort myself out somewhere to get bits up here. When I say decent I mean one with reasonably modern cars, MK4's etc and with a yard you can go round removing stuff yourself. Cheers Jay

Nope I like them as they are and don't need them flaring, plus I don't have the cash at the mo for "extras" :) Jay -
Cool. Make sure you post plenty of pics. :) Will be interested to see what a chipped version produces. Jay

Cheers Yandards. Well the quote for the insurance company was £1650 for the door to be replaced and painted so god knows! I would imagine if I went in for a complete respray it would be in the region of £3/4K. Luckily for me as my mate is the sprayer when four years ago I did get a full respray, all I had to pay was just the hiring of an oven at a different bodyshop for £200. :) Jay -

Cheers all. Yes I am glad to see it back to how it was for the feature, if not better :) Jay -
Keep up the good work mate. So the bushes didn't solve the problem then? Its not the exhaust knocking is it? Jay
-
