  1. That picture is actually making me want one of the smaller (50mm) front spoilers in place of my 90mm. Jay

    Hi All

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a result. Have you got the bolt out? What parts do you need? Jay
  3. Think laterally. Problem is you will need to be looking at adaptors if you want to do something no-one else has. Jay
  4. Yep mine is the later type engine cover. I was not a fan of the earlier type. Sorry :) Jay
  5. Water pump. Only £25 and worth doing if you are changing the engine as then you know you don't need to do it again. Water housings including o seals. Gaskets for everything that is being disconnected/connected. Jay
  6. Looking very nice mate. Same colour as my old G60 and I always wanted D90's back then, so now I know what it would have looked like and I love them :) I reckon if I was going to do one thing I would spacer the fronts out a touch, or fit 8's on the front too. Jay
  7. Good luck mate. You need some recently!! Keep us all posted. Jay
  8. See here. We are working on it. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... highlight=
  9. This is what I mean about the MK4 rack being tall and the input shaft is at a funny angle too. Jay
  10. Nasty business. :( Wish her well mate. PS racks do that themselves anyway. They have a torsion shaft in them that senses when load is applied which opens a valve and adds assistance. At speed on the motorway etc there will be no assistance as the torsion on the shaft is not enough to open the valve. Otherwise you would go flying off into the armco. :) Jay
  11. My biggest concern with the MK4 rack is its height rather than its length. It looks high where the column UJ joins it. Need to get hold a MK4 rack to compare to my spare VR one. Jay
  12. Snug I think is the word! I can't even see mine behind my wheels :( but I know they are there :)
  13. It would work very well but only if you finish it in the same way as that MK2. All the little touches, everything satin black. Clean as a whistle, dumped on the floor. Take away all those elements and it would look ar5e in that colour, but with them it looks awesome. I would go for 17" Porker Monoblock wheels in Satin Black. Jay
  14. See here scott http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... highlight= Jay
  15. When I finally get round to buying a garage, i mean house and garage, i mean house :) It will definately have to have a nice garage attached to the house or at least with power. As u say. Priorities :) Jay
  16. Me too. Not into chrome at all but that looks superb mate. The effort put into it has been made worthwhile 8) Nice one. Jay
  17. Mine is in the garage every night. Its a tight fit but enough to open the door with a big piece of carpet down both sides. The passenger side piece is just in case I get a bit close, the drivers side piece is so I can open the door without worrying. Its a bit of a ball ache having to open it every morning and every night and especially at the mo as one of the door cables is broken. grrr But its worth it so its out of sight and its dry. I spent a whole day clearing the garage the day after we moved in just so the car could go in. I am fitting two 6" flourescent lights in there tomorrow night. :) Even though I have to run a 30M extension lead out every time to the garage at least I can have power in there. I will also fit a multiplug extension in there so I can just plug in the extension lead and have power in there for everything. Can't wait to get it all setup and start making stuff :) Jay
  18. We are talking about camber and the rears are not 0. Infact Corrado rears have a fair bit of negative camber and toe in. Jay
  19. Right i have done exactly this when I did my transplant and rebuilt my car. I will try and remember everything but I am sure I will forget some of the stuff I did. This purely for the suspension and I will not include brake stuff or engine mounts although i did all that too. Front End: Your choice of shocks and springs or coilovers.... Powerflex Front Crossmember bushes Powerflex wishbone bushes front and rear OE bottom balljoints OE Track rods OE Track rod ends New Steering rack (big debate at the mo with this) Powerflex steering rack bush VR6 top mounts and bearings OE wheel bearings Check the column and UJ's for slack... Rear Your choice of shocks and springs or coilovers... OE rear beam bushes OE rear top mounts OE rear wheel bearings Thats your basic rebuild on the suspension. Jay
  20. It will reduce the lock too. will be interesting though. You coming down to the new meet up north on the 23rd Ian? Jay
  21. There is a little sprung plastic bit underneath inside the leather. it clicks into place when the handle goes on. jay
