dubber31. Cheers mate, I am flattered you read through all 47 pages!! I think the decision to get a Corrado is a good one, MK3's are alright, but nothing on the Corrado. :) Jay -
OH my god. u need to see this if you like engineering

Apparently they named it after they had had a few jars, so the story goes, from the same friend of a friend. I might even be right in remembering that there were in the FuFu bar in Bournemouth, but I am not sure... Awesome MK4, to keep on topic. Jay -

Dark coloured VR with the reg L3 EVL or something similiar. I was driving a 6 tonne truck moving house and can't remember what road I was on (have done over 1500 miles this week) think it was the M1.... Jay -
It would be from an aftermarket boot switch for an alarm. It is joined to the door pin earth, which means it could only be that. Some people don't bother using the switch in the actually boot latch and just put a crappy trigger one in. Remove it and tidy up and insulate the brown and white wire, otherwise it will ground and your interior light will randomly come on. :) Hope that helps Jay

Nice on Balj, you have my old brakes, my old wheels. I'm flattered! :) They will look awesome mate. What size/offset did you get in the end? Jay

Andy, I will be back down to B'mth in a couple of weeks for the repair work to be done to the car, so will give you a shout. The washer jets will stay as they are for now. :) Cubed - I am moving up your way in a week or so, so hopefully will see you at a local meet. Phat - That means a lot mate, cheers. You of all people know what was involved! Did you have that relay unit by the way?? I will be back up in Harrogate tomorrow, so could pop round if you have it. Cheers all Jay -
Well my Rado is a genuine Daily driver as most of you know. Not a "pop down the road every now and again" daily driver, but a 40+ miles a day, shopping, visiting relatives, holidays, everything. I don't own any other cars. I guess I am just a poser and can't drive a cr@ppy daily driver when I know my C would be sitting at home. :) It winds me up at shows when people say "yeah its a daily driver" when they have a company car or another car they use. I have respect for people who build show cars, but not when they say its a daily driver when it isn't. As for getting work done before monday, that just means you get it done quickly rather than it sitting there for ages for when you can be bothered! :) Jay

Cheers Steve. Have a look at my thread below to keep this one on topic. The "TVR one" is Biggerbigben's part of a new group we have just formed called "CoupeHaus". Jay

Well I have finally got a date sorted for the repairs to be done. 11th October its going into the bodyshop for a new front end. I need to write a list of all the mods, so they are re-produced exactly as they are done now or better :) I will be getting a brand new VR6 bumper and 90mm chin spoiler which will change the look of the front a bit, but I can't expect them to spend ages trying to get a MK2 chin spoiler to fit! Otherwise everything will be replaced exactly like for like and all brand new OE bits, which is nice :) Will post pics once its done and it will not be leaving the bodyshop until its 100% perfect. I am expecting it to be on its wheels when I come up Ian! Jay

Coxy said to me it would be done March 2005. That was before I started mine! :) Paul - Honestly keep the Rado. Iron out the niggles (I am doing that now and loving the car) fit some decent suspension (AVO's are absolute cr@p, I know I have had them on a C before) and enjoy the car for what it is a damn quick comfy motor. Its never going to be a lairy chuck about track car, not with full cream leather, lazy V6 and all the rest. My advice would be finish the Rado properly, you know you want to really, once its mobile and reliable sell the MK4. Then build the MK2 slow time, while ironing out the final little niggles on the Rado. I can honestly say its so nice to be sorting things like the boot light not working (it was a bad bulb) or plumbing in washer jets, now on my car and being able to enjoy it every day wihtout major surgery. Its a very quick progression from a shake down test bed, to a complete solid car. You know the right answer, you just want to hear it from us all. :) Jay Jay

Supercharged believe me they fit. If you don't believe me look at the photos of my engine bay, the top plates are VR6 ones and the shell is a G60. :) Jay

From memory firmer = anti clockwise on Konis On the plastic adjuster knob thingy you get with them it has an arrow and says "firm" Jay

I am running VR6 top mounts on a G60 with FK Konigsport coilovers and its no problem at all. They last a sh1t load longer than the older style, especially the GSF ones which last about 5 mins with coilovers. You do need the VR6 top nut, top plate (the bit you can see in the engine bay) and obviously the mount itself. The top plates come on loads of later cars, from Passats to SEAT's so just take a visit to the breakers for some. Jay

Cheers Cubed - Still waiting on the insurance to sort themselves out and get it booked into the bodyshop. As soon as it is in and done I will be attending shows and meets all over the place as I have not had my fix yet this year, having only taken it to ED38 :( Jay -
Superlite wheels in Gloucester mate. Jay

I am sure I could "drop" a 24V in for 42p. :) Jay

Mine is a bit different as I have the complete MK4 brake system with the 312's, but my god do they work, I have yet to need to really stamp on them (much like my old brembos) as they work so well I never need to press that hard! They certainly haul the car down from "significant" speeds with no problem at all and very smoothly too, no squirming or grabbing. You will all be impressed I promise. Now fit everything else that goes with them :) Jay

This was the last I saw of the Corrado.
