  1. Ben - what can I say other than, respect mate. Although I have seen all the pics before, seeing the interior in the flesh was awesome. The amount of work that has gone into it is huge and the balls to do something so different is equally as impressive mate. A credit to the CoupeHaus massive mate! :) Jay - Fellow CoupeHaus founder.
  2. Thanks everyone. Glad you all like it. I was totally blown away by peoples responses to it at the show. Made all the hard work worthwhile. The fact I got the award for PVW's car of the show made my day!! Couldn't believe it!! Really good to speak to everyone and put faces to names. Lots of awesome cars and an awesome show all round. Did anyone get any pics of mine as I took hardly any of my own car :( Jay
  3. Its nearly there. Bonnet is mopped, interior is in apart from the doorcards and the rear 1/4 cards. I have a few little touches to do and then I can start properly cleaning it!! I think its going to be a very very late night. :) Please come over and have a chat tomorrow everyone! Jay
  4. This is all you are getting!! :) Sneaky pics of the interior (doorcards are not in yet) and the wheels, you will have to wait! :) Jay
  5. Looking good mate, will have a good look at ED38. Cream and black is the way forward :)
  6. Keep at it dude. You will get it there. I have a fun day mopping the paint tomorrow to try and bring it back from the dead after a few months of cr@p!
  7. Ah ok, I will let you off. :) Jay
  8. Come on dinkus, how many times are you going to ask! :) 312 Carriers 40mm M12x1.5 Bolts 6mm washers Now get them on! :)
  9. Yeah Phil its the same as mine. Its a MK2 Golf one, not a straight forward fit but a bit different, until Ben copied me! :) Come on Ben get it running dude, we have to get the whole CoupeHaus collective there together!! :)
  10. Well the new wheels are on and fit like a treat. I will post pictures when the whole car is finished on Thursday. I have spent the day modifying the a-pillar trims to make them flare out and meet the TT dash, as the sides have quite a different shape. They have come out better than I thought they would and look about as factory as I could expect I guess. Busy day tomorrow, modifying the headlining to accomodate the MK4 interior lights and alarm sensors. Then I hope to trim it in matching cream leather next week, if the hide finally arrives in the post... Jay
  11. Fitted my new adaptors and wheels. Fit perfectly which is a big relief. Modified my A-pillar trims so they flare out to meet the dash. Well pleased with the results. Still loads to do before ED38. :(
  12. What have you changed? Being playing about with? mate...
  13. Glad to hear its sorted Darren, looking forward to having a butchers at the motor at ED38.
  14. gradeAfailure - Feel free to have a good close look. Hopefully people will and they will appreciate the work that has gone into the car and not just see some bling! :) "Definitely a candidate for rado of the year... " Well I am flattered thank-you. I will post up pictures of the finished car the day before ED38, just so people know which car it is! :)
  15. LOL! If it is then I am bad too!! I can't wait to see it finished!
  16. Got my custom adaptors yesterday for my new wheels. They were made in the workshop at work, so I owe the guys there big time!! :) They are hard clear anodised aircraft grade aluminium, with alochromed threads, which have then been helicoiled, they weigh litterally nothing and are more than capable of the job. Just need to get the tyres on the wheels now....... but you will have to wait till Friday next week to see the wheels on the finished car. :)
  17. oh, but don't be confused by the later door pods! :)
  18. I had early ones, admitedly I modified them to fit round the TT dash, but they were original early ones. If anyone wants them they can have them for a couple of beers. Not perfect, but they will look fine in the car. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/download.php?id=6404
  19. Shaggsy - Blimey, thanks for reading it all! :) I would love to do a web page of everything, but I don't know how (yet) and I do so many mods I would spend as much time writing about them as doing them. This forum is perfect for me as it gives me an easy way of posting up my progress for people, like yourself to read. Hopefully it gives people ideas and info on how to do different jobs and as and when I can I will put up more info on each task. As Ben said a few of us have formed a little group under the title "CoupeHaus". The website is coming together and you will definately see our 6 cars at ED38. My Corrado 24v V6, Bens Corrado 1.8T 4WD, Dougs Corrado V5, Pauls race MK2, Nicks retro MK2 and Giles' smooth MK3. Come over and say hello! :) Jay
  20. Randal - LOL, funny thing is, thats basically what my job is! :) Biggerbigneil - Cheers, I just hope people appreciate the workings that are underneath the leather and the engine...... still I guess the people who are at these shows generally know what they are looking at! Jay
  21. Have to agree Jim, there do seem to be a lot of Corrados being built for this show, but then again there are a lot of Golfs being done too... its going to be awesome. Show stealer....mmmmm? Not sure about that, but thanks!  Randal - LOL. I think I might put a board up with a detailed description of whats been done, as most of the complex stuff you can't see!! Jay
