  1. Those are looking good, Vaughan 8) Will make a big difference- totally worth doing :) You're defo gonna need them in order to cope with the next upgrade ;)
  2. Been having some probs with them and I'm getting a bit fed up. Got my exhaust from them fitted just before Chistmas, but they'd sent the wrong tailpipe. Asked for a twin rolled in and they sent a normal twin. Emailed Nigel a month ago, and he said no probs, we'll send a new one etc. All fine and dandy. Waited a week. Nothing. Emailed again. Nothing. Called again- Nigel on the shop floor- he'll call you back in 10 minutes. No call. Called again a few days later. The guy I spoke to interrupted Nigel (who was on the other line) and asked what the score was. Nigel told him to tell me they'd send one out asap. A week later- nothing. Emailed Nigel again, explaining the car was going into the garage for some work, and I'd appreciate it if the tailpipe could be sent to get to me by then, so the garage could fit it. He emailed back and said they'd send it out on the Monday. Suffice to say it didn't arrive. Well, sent Nigel a stern email 2 weeks ago, to complain about the service. He replied, apologised and said they still didn't have the rolled in trims. He said he'd let me know when they were on the way. Suffice to say, I still haven't received them. I can't believe that they'd be out of stock for nearly two months... Emailed again on Tuesday... no reply. Phoned at 11am today. Nigel out delivering a car, so I spoke to Andy, who was very helpful. He took all my details and said he'd make sure Nigel definately called me back 'within 2 hours'. No prizes for guessing I haven't had a call. Anyone know who is the 'top guy' at Blueflame? Calling and emailing doesn't seem to get me anywhere. Think I need to get in touch with the person in charge. I'm seriously considering getting the exhaust removed, sending it back, demanding a refund and invoicing them for the fitting/removal labour. Hmmm... I was initially impressed with the efficient and friendly service I got from Blueflame, but the after-sales is sadly lacking. It's quite telling that they seem to put the effort in when taking your money, but when it comes to sorting out a mistake they made, they just can't be bothered to sort it. I've been driving around without the tailpipe I ordered and paid for a nearly two months after they said they'd send me a new one. Really, really gets my goat when people don't have the manners to return a call or email, especially when you're paying their wages by buying their products! SORT IT OUT, BLUEFLAME!
  3. That is LUSH! Is this gonna actually become available? All the 3.6 Passats are going to make really good 'nearly new' buys. I'll keep my eye out when it's time to change the Skud in 2-3 years...
  4. Absolutely no chance, I'm afraid matey :( Really enjoying the Skud at the mo though- it's making for a pretty good replacement- putting out plenty of power. Doesn't have the character or the looks of a C, but it's pretty damn good for a cheap, fast family car. It's actually faster than any of my VR6s (in a straight line). The mid-range torque after the remap/downpipe is fantastic 8)

    ISV

Easiest if you move the back ignition leads out of the way and remove the rear plastic engine cover/lead guide. This will take a couple of minutes max.
  6. Nice one, Jim! Looks great! Your Rado is looking mighty fine at the mo too, and you'll be able to keep it looking like that now too :)
  7. That's until they've had a decent remap ;)
  8. How often does this need doing mate? I've done about 25,000 miles in mine so far and haven't done this. Also, exactly how easy is it to do? Cheers. I would prob do it every 40K or so. Really easy (takes 15-20 mins). Difficult to describe without pics! You will need a 17mm gearbox/drain socket (Halfords- cheap). Get under the car and take a look- there should be a fill up hole at the front and a drain hole underneath the gearbox. Front needs to be up on axle stands. Make sure you can undo the fill up hole before you undo the drain and empty all the oil out. Also, make sure you've replaced the drain plug before filling it up again! To add the new oil, route some tubing attached to a funnel into the fill up hole. Fill up until it starts to dribble out. I'm sure there'll be pics on here somewhere- do a search. Just tried the Wiki, but it's not working at the mo.
  9. Gearbox oil has probably never been changed. Quick, easy and well worth doing with Castrol SMX-S or Redline MT90.
  10. Happy Birthday :D Sounds fantastic matey! Gotta have a go at one of these one day... Will be taking the RS around Castle Combe in a couple of months- not quite the same as an Aston or Lambo though!
  11. With Jim on this one- would never swap a LCR for an old shape TT... not in a million years! Also agree with Walesy- a 350Z is defo worth a look. Or how about an old shape M Coupe? Or XKR?
  12. That's good news, Jim! It will really take the load off having a daily, and it sounds like a cracking car :) As most of the others have said, it's gotta be a VR. Every time I see you, you talk about getting a VR one day and now you've got the perfect opportunity. Perfect time to buy, although as you say, you prob won't get that much for the valver :( Swings and roundabouts though. Just be patient and VERY picky. I'll keep my eyes out for any that might turn up down this way. Keep us posted!

    mystery pipe!

Just buy a new bung from VW... Had this go on one of my old valvers- makes the engine sound a bit more fruity!
  14. Ha ha! You just can't stay away, can you Jon? Good work there- all looking nice and neat 8)
  15. The rear shocks are adjustable- come like that from the store ;) Think they have 5 or so different heights- just need some circlip pliers for adjustment. Looks better, Dave 8) Glad it's sorted the handling- was a touch harsh before (not too bad though!). When are you getting some coillies then?
  16. Vaughan, maybe worth dropping 3corsameal a line- pretty sure he was gonna buy some of these a while back...
  17. No worries! Apparently AP coilovers are excellent, and are much cheaper than the others. Made by the same people as KW and Weitec. Think AwesomeGTI & Venom sell them, but not sure if they're available for the Corrado yet.
  18. AFAIK the only twin headlight conversion was a custom jobby that costs a fortune from the USA. The other alternative is the INPRO halo headlamps in black. There is another cheaper make called Sonar, which are worth a look too. Should be able to find these on Ebay, Venom, www.arz-tuning.com etc etc. As for coilovers Koni or KW are the ones to go for. FK and Wietec also do some decent coilies, slightly cheaper. I've had two sets of Koni coilovers on past cars, and they were absolutely spot on. If I had to get some now, I'd prob go for the KWs, as they have fast become the preferred choice. You get what you pay for with suspension, so I wouldn't bother unless you're prepared to spend! HTH!
  19. Change the fuel filter too. 20 min job + cheap. It may have been on there since new!
  20. This is too much fun... Seriously though, J, it must've taken a good coupla days to get that together :cuckoo:  Wassup wit da rice dis? Rice canz be gud!
  21. Fantastic- well done Karl (and the 3 stooges ) - it's gonna be worth all the hassle ;)
