  1. Thought about it, but why kick a monkey when he's already down? BTW, change that frack awful early grille!
  2. Just pop the headlight surrounds off to paint them ;) Oh yeh, get a job too
  3. Nail on the head there! It would be an annoyance and inconvenience, but not too bad if you had the dosh to sort it. When you haven't though, it can actually be quite stressful, on several levels, especially when you have a family = why I had to get rid of mine :(
  4. Sounds like it's just the right height now- will hopefully see it soon 8) I could never get the trolley jack under the front axle without first using the standard jack on the normal sill position.
  5. Ditto ^^ looks stunning mate 8) The green wing mirrors are gonna be the perfect finishing touch  ;)
  6. Looking great 8) Think the Corrado wears red rather well- don't really like red as a rule, but red Cs look ace!
  7. It's a whole new world. Think I've had my VW blinkers on for too many years for a change now. What do you think now you've driven it? (and when I say driven, I mean, DRIVEN! :cuckoo: :notworthy: ) Here's a couple of pics from last weekend- was a great day- thanks again 8) Saw my old VR a couple of days ago (David, where are you?!). David, the new owner, is taking great care of her. Sounded awesome (as ever), when you drove off 8) .
  8. I remember absolutely destroying a 528i in my first VR- he wasn't happy at all  Slightly more power than a standard VR, but as said earlier, heavier.
  9. Talking of G60s, the parts guy in Eurocanterbury VW told me there was no such thing as a G60 Corrado when I wanted to order a speaker grille, to which I replied 'Erm, yes there is. Mine's parked outside- want a look?' He looked very sheepish!
  10. I would try higher, to be honest- around £3500. You'd be surprised just how many people are waiting for this sort of car to come along- totally standard, low miles etc. You can always drop the price if it doesn't sell... Sold mine recently, and everyone told me to put the price up by quite a lot. I put it up a bit and it sold to the first person to view it. Had loads and loads of calls about it too. Could've definately got more.
  11. Oi! You take that back! There's nothing wrong with the styling on Hyundais! :bad-words:   Liking the front still, but the rear is terrible, along with the ride height. Choice of engines is also disappointing- gotta have a V6 in there :cuckoo: If I had that sort of money, I'd be getting a nearly new 350Z every day of the week. Streets ahead.
  12. That's a great pic 8) Nik & Gav, glad it's all worked out :) Two cracking cars you've got there. Hope you're coping OK with the lack of power, Nikki
  13. Belated Happy Birthday from me too- hope you had a good 'un :) When do you reckon it'll all be up and running then?
  14. The styling of the new Civic is a damn site more 'funky' and 'daring' than anything VW have ever done! Hardly an 'old person's' car  It's not just a recent thing, either. Civic derivatives such as the CRX and the EG VTIs where hardly old people's cars either. And as for slow and noisy... my old 1.6 VTI used to beat pretty much everything up to 60mph, and yes, it was a 1.6! One of my friends had a standard G60 and got absolutely murdered by a CTR. Don't underestimate them. Honda engineering is pretty amazing, although not to everyone's taste.
  15. 16" LMs would be perfect :D It was about 2.5 fingers between the wheel and arch. Would've liked it a little lower though - 2 is perfect.
  16. Lower, lower! Looks 8) Almost complete...
  17. No worries- thanks for the quick payment. Glad you got them OK :)
  18. It's amazing how changing something so small/simple can really transform the look of a car. Huge improvement! What next? Any more thoughts re: supension/wheels?
  19. Looking pretty perfecto there 8) A vast improvement on the orange (which, as you say, really dates the Corrado). Maybe it's my eyes, but the car looks quite white in those pics- pearl white, even, as Jon would say
  20. I've had a G60 and VR6s- definately the VR6 IMHO. G60 is good, but the VR just seems much more the complete package- it's a 6 cylinder V6 afterall 8) Sounds much better than any of the others, too ;)
  21. Yep, as said above, it will be late spec, although there are a handful of J-reg VR6s with early interiors. The rear badges were colour-coded until late '93/early '94 IIRC.
  22. Good to know. The Lude is a little bump-steery- may have to take it along and see what they can do :)
  23. Nice one, Fay- perfect oem+ wheels imho 8)
