That looks like an absolute steal!

Well said, Kev. I haven't bought it for ages because I'm always dissapointed in it. Think VWM is the best Dub mag, although it can be a bit conservative at times. Will be sticking to that, Evo and Top Gear from now on :)

Well, they call themselves 'Performance VW' and they can't even be bothered to put a C in their calendar :? . Surely the C is the ultimate 'performance VW'! Out of twelve cars, I think 10 were golfs
-
Gotta say that every C I've owned has been incredibly steady and solid in windy conditions- so much so that you barely notice it at all.

EGR headlight protectors are only around £25....
-
Nice one 8)
-
Well, Henny's 250k is pretty atronomical! Mine's on just under 205k (engine's only done 70k though  ).
-
Don't think Magnex do one for the C. Pretty sure Supersprint do, although it'll be expensive (but worth it  ). What model C do you have?
-
Henny, you've got to be kidding me! That cost me loads, and was the straw that broke the camel's back with my blackberry VR...   Nevermind, you live and learn  Yeh, don't think Lord Vader would aprove- but what he doesn't know can't hurt him

It really is that easy mate :) . A word of advice- don't be too heavy handed taking the top rad hose off- ease it off as gently as you can. I was a touch over zealous with mine and cracked the plastic connector bit (between rad and hose) around one of the bolts- couldn't be fixed and guess what? VW don't supply it seperately  Didn't have time to search the local breakers, so had to buy a whole new rad :( Also, when you think you've added enough water/coolant, give the larger hoses a good massage (oo-er!) to get rid of any air pockets.

Get one from GPC- the last one I got was £23! Bargain. Bung it on unpainted- you can always take it off and paint it if you don't like the stock look. The old grille will come in handy if you decide to paint the new one
-
I've used Castrol SMX-S with Slick 50 Gearbox Treatment- you can get both from larger Halfords stores. Really good stuff. People on here also rate Redline fully synth gearbox oil. Have a look at the procedure in the How-to guides on here- very helpful  :)

Any VR owners in Nottingham? Or anyone with a good template they can send Dave? By the way, how much are your seat handles and do you have a bigger pic?

Yeh Jim, was a good day :) Yeh, the K & N was good, but think you scared more people driving Chris' VR6  Gonna invest in some sort of induction kit soon :twisted -
Just thought I'd revive this- Dave, did you get it completed? Price? Cheers

Here's what she used to look like :) 8) -
I've had the 'closed' grill on two of my C's- changed them both times to help the airflow. Don't think it makes too much difference, but it must help a bit.

That's a shame- I've just found some old piccies- as soon as I've figured out how to re-size 'em, I'll post them up for you :) -
Two in quick succession lunchtime today. First later shape dark blue heading towards me near Birchington/Garlinge in Thanet. Older guy with tash- didn't have time to wave to you. Red J-plate G60 parked up in a small village (can't remember the name!) near Manston airport.

Sold it in January because I was getting married in May- thought it was the sensible thing to do- nearly cried when Eug drove off in it :( Didn't really get on with the Civic I bought to replace it, so bought another C 16v soon after getting married, and I'm now with a VR again. It's a good 'un- miss the heated leather though. -
