  1. Think the 'teg is a really nice looking car- both the mk 2 and 3. NSX isn't too bad, and don't mind the last shape prelude- has to have the spoiler though. The EG Civic VTI wasn't too bad either- I'll try and dig out some pics of my old one.
  2. From personal experience, I'd say keep the C. You will miss it too much- trust me! The S3 would be great for a while, but the novelty would wear off after a few months. Performance, engineering, build- all great, but it just doesn't have that bit extra that the C has. Maybe hold off for a year, save up for the S3 (prices will have dropped by then too  ), get the C on a classic ltd mileage policy to bring out at weekends. Best of both worlds. I'm planning on getting a vRS estate in a year or so, but I'm gonna try to keep my VR- even if it means sticking it in the garage for a while. It would only fetch around £3k, so I'm just gonna save my arse off for the next few months so I won't have to sell when I get the vRS. That's the plan.... prob won't turn out like that!
  3. Off to Halfrauds to buy some chrome paint then
  4. I'll have one please! :) Tried a few weeks ago, but my stealer could only get primed ones :( . Good luck!
  5. greegs, MPH:04 was good. Didn't think the actual show bit was as good as last year- although it was a bit more 'glitzy'. Nice to sit in loads of new cars though 8) Was totally underwhelmed with the new GTI- just plain dull, and the gearshift felt very vague and sloppy. As with last year, I was totally impressed with the RX-8. Build quality is excellent, and it's actually pretty interesting inside. RS6 was nice too :) Don't think I'll be going next year- this year's was just too similar to the last one. Motor Show instead I think. too hot, agree with you about the styling- think the C still looks way better 8)
  6. Well, how does it compare then? I know they're completely different, but is really that much faster etc? Signed up for this at MPH:04 the other day- haven't heard anything yet. You have to be over 30 to test drive the STI, and am I right in saying you have to pay a £500 damage deposit?
  7. It should have had a complete head rebuild around 40k ago, but if it's got fvwsh, then everything else should, in theory have been replaced as and when. But you never know... Sounds like a good price- leather too 8) Whereabouts in Glos are you James? Grew up in Cirencester and will be moving to Cheltenham in the next few months :)
  8. £1.2- 1.8K dependent on bodywork.
  9. All had them apart from the 2.0 8v and 2.0 16v.

    Respray

Would think your door should be around £100-150 to be sprayed. Just had bonnet, rear qtr panel and number plate surround done for £300.
  11. Yeh, earlier ones were around 210 bhp, later are 225 I think. Always liked them myself- bit stealthy, great performance, 4 wheel drive, build etc etc. General concensus seems to be that they are quite soulless though :?
  12. This happened on one of my old C's when I put the wrong brake bulb in  - couldn't work it out for ages until my local mechanic suggested it!

    Aerial Base

Are the connections the same? Need one of these too :(
  14. Wouldn't mind giving that new legacy a burn either
  15. Ooh, you lucky thing! Might have to give this a go!
  16. Hi mate, nice car 8) As Jim says, get an induction kit. Gonna be my next mod when I get the pennies together :)
  17. Sunday, Red 1.8 16v in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham.
  18. dinkus, he he  stumbled across it the other day, and just couldn't resist the power of the ...Ford I'll get my coat
  19. Had the Konigsports + poly bushes on my last valver, and while the handling was astonishing, the ride was horrible. On a day to day basis, I didn't particularly enjoy driving it- just too unforgiving :(

    Stealer Prob

As Jim says :? Happened to me with some speaker covers- I actually showed the guy my broken ones and he still managed to order the wrong colour and then try to blame me! I stood my ground, and wrote to Head Office. They sent me an apology and made him send me a grovelly apology too  Haven't seen him since. Got my correct speakers too :)
  21. Go for a 2.0 16v. As the other guys have said, you'll get a newer car, bit more torquey too than the 1.8 16v. Had two 2.0 16v's and been in a 1.8 16v several times and there's nothing in it speed-wise. Don't even think about a VR if you want to save money. Fuel costs are rediculous! Then again, it's worth it (IMHO) .
