Got bumped a few weeks ago whilst in traffic. The woman  admitted liability and the damage wasn't too bad- the rear bumper has a line along its length with some scratching/cracks in the paint. Doesn't look like there's any structural damage at all. Its very superficial. Phoned up the insurer's 'approved' bodyshop yesterday to confirm the booking. The receptionist had to talk to her boss about booking it in early- I could still hear the conversation 'It's the Golf,' Manager 'Golf?' Receptionist 'Corr... Corr...ay...do?' Dropped off today- 'Scirocco?' and this was when she was reading off the screen after I'd given her the reg :/ Hey ho. I made it quite clear that I wanted my 'Pride & Joy' looked after VERY well. Fingers crossed.

Gotta say, it made us stand out. Everyone else was pumping out Drum 'n' Bass, metal etc... and we (you!) were mincing around the barbeque to Erasure  -
Sorry bud, thought you could get it out through the top. Horrible scrabbling around under the car without a pit/lift :(
-
Welcome! Nice to have members from far and wide 8) Looks like a nice G60! Would be a good idea if you posted a message about your engine problem in the 'Engine Bay' section ;)

Whats wrong with peoples driving these days. Rant.
CazzaVR replied to VWVW's topic in General Car Chat
We have a blind bend in Wotton, where cars are parked along the inside of the bend. Pretty much every time I drive with the parked cars on the left, someone coming the other way just careers around the corner without slowing to look. You WILL hit oncoming traffic on this bend unless you slow to around 5-10mph on approach to the bend, yet people just don't seem to care, meaning I often have to take evasive action. Same on a small lane on the way to work. Other cars just don't seem to think it's important to slow down at all, meaning I often have to come to a complete and sudden halt, half in the bushes. I've had so many near misses there it's crazy. The thing that really tops it off is that most of them don't even say thanks for letting them past :( -
Pedal box, sponges, latches, scuttle cover, immobiliser
CazzaVR replied to vornwend's topic in Parts for Sale
Lee, still have the fob AFAIK. Could do both for £12.50 delivered. Steesh- only got the brake master, not the clutch cylinders I'm afraid. -
Got the box + brake master but not the other cylinders. Let me know if you're interested.
-
You can get the shift box out by either: Removing a section of the exhaust + the heatshielding. It will simply drop out this way. Best done on a lift. Or... removing the shifter trim and then cutting away the metal lip at the front. This allows the bolt enough clearance. If you check out daves16v shortshifter thread, I'm pretty sure it's covered in there. I have spare cables if you need them.

This needs to go- sensible offers welcome! :) -
We had ours done a few years ago- can't help with price as it was included with the driveway block paving. You will need to clear it with the council first.

£250 inc tyres. Need these gone. -
One of mine with Dave's 'test' bracket... Mark, you should have: silicone MAF coupler inc 2 X jubilees; the circular mounting bracket that goes around the BMC; corrugated metal intake hose + jubilee (not fitted on any of the pics above); mounting bracket (attaches to tensioner).
-
Always thought they were 6  ---------- Post added at 4:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:27 PM ---------- Copied from the Wiki: 195/50 VR-15 on 6 x 15 Adverts states 185 55 15, so wrong profile- should be 50.
-
Not worth it. Tyres are wrong profile + you can usual get these for less than £100.
-
Simply stunning!
-
Shame you're having to break it :( Please don't use this thread to sell stuff though- open a breaking thread in the correct section ;)
