Corrado meet - Brooklands 1997 - where are they now?
OllieVR6 replied to Bullfinch's topic in General Car Chat
I'm not far from there, next time I'm in the area I'll scope it out. If I remember correctly, it's all fenced now and impossible to get on to. We could always meet at Mercedes world and show them how it's done  -
ooh, this ones exciting! (Because the C in your sig looks awesome, but the one in the first pic looks seriously tatty) :)

Who would so kind as to photoshop these wheels onto my car? Thanks! :D

I'm not but my brothers might be :camp: hmmmm, how far will I go to get a turbo!

Take it to Top Test in Bagshot for the MOT. Lovely blokes, wont mess you about, and if they're not busy and your clearly an enthusiast they'll let you go in the pit and they'll show you what they are doing and give you a chance to see if there is anything you need to check. I take both my cars and my Dad takes his and mums 2 cars there. Off topic - There are loads of us in the Camberley/Farnborough area, we need to do a meet!

Does she have a sister?

And when trying to find the source of the water leak, my drivers door handle broke and now I can't open the door.

I saw a chrome covered R8 at Trax this year and from a distance it looked nice, but up close it was horrible. You'll never get the shine you get from paint that's freshly polished and it starts to look tatty. The R8 had bad marks all over it, I guess from daily use, and the edges were starting to look scruffy. Also the bonnet had to be done in 2 parts and where the stuff has to overlap slightly you get a small lump right down the middle. Not my cuppa tea I'm afraid, I'd rather have to polish my car twice a month.

Legends, thanks lads!

Hey van looks good mate. I love the feeling of having a new vehicle! On a side note, your camera takes awesome pictures, what is it?

I think this is the same for a few of the MOT bit's isn't it? For example, if you have a flat spare or a spare with no tread, that will fail. But not having a spare at all is fine, afaik.

Any idea on specs? Unless anyone knows the owner so I can go find their build thread. Untitled.jpg[/attachment:30yn03yx] Thanks!

I think he'll get in touch, firstly because it's a nice gesture, and secondly I think that being a Corrado owner gets in your blood, once you've had one, you'll always wish you hadn't got rid of it, whether you got it new or 2nd hand :)

Well not technically today, but last weekend I finally tax'd insured and MOT'd it, then this weekend I finally finished getting the glue off from where I had removed the rubber side strips nearly a year a ago  Going to need a machine polish when the weather is a bit nicer. Also finished spraying the front VR6 badge and fitted that. Finally I did some stripping to the only wheel that I am going to strip myself. Such a shite job!

So I went to the stealers and got some oil. Everyone here talks about VW Synta Silver. But he sold me Quantum Synta (doesn't say silver on it anywhere) it's in a silver bottle tho, and has a black label. Is this the right stuff? Its 10W/40 semi synth I believe. Also, I've done a few searches but haven't come across anything definitive. What spark plugs should I get? www.sparkplugs.co.uk have cheap or expensive ones, and www.vwspares.co.uk offer something in the middle in terms of price. I normally get NGK for the daily and the bike, are these good enough for the Corrado?

+1 :ignore:

What's the inside info on these? Seen them on ebay, wasn't sure if they were any good.

I think it's a waste of money, there are so many products out there that you can do a much much better job yourself. Have a search around here: www.detailingworld.com

OllieVR6 replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Hi mate, can you PM me the cost of the kit for both doors on a 94 VR please? Thanks bud. -
In that case I do have an OBD2 connector. But technically the underlying system isn't OBD2 correct?
