  1. thanks Fla - polishing takes so much time but the final result will be well worth it plan is to have the centre faces bead blasted & then powder coated white, then have the entire face clear powder coated to preserve the polished edges im also going to have the barrels clear powder coated & am hoping they can retain the original autostrada stickers on the inside of the barrels they will then be finished with white centre covers, black hex nut, white centres with gold modena writing & stainless split pins oh & oil slick bolts & valve caps
  2. i put a couple up a few weeks ago but yeah here you go....
  3. im still polishing, hours & hours of polishing lol still, am on the last face finally & then they are off for a redrill
  4. ive not seen any others, what went & for what m8?
  5. WOW!! SOLD! Very well preserved is Lot 661, the 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTi 1.8 Cabriolet which has sold above top estimate at The Classic - Silverstone for £31,500 (inc. buyers premium).
  6. great work & congratulations on the end result 😄
  7. hi & welcome to the corrado world covers are a little double edged sword in my opinion - i say this after having used covers for both of my rado's a couple of years ago yes they do protect from the rain, hail, snow etc but sadly at a cost i found that no matter how strapped down i managed to get the cover there was still lots of movement due to the wind, all of the rubbing sadly had a very negative effect on the paintwork on both the VR6 & the 16v i tried 2 different makes of cover, a halfords medium all weather & another branded all weather, both being fleece lined, breathable & as snug a fit as possible but after several months of use the damage they had done was clearly visible personally i think that as long as you dont have any water ingress then it is better to just leave the cars in the elements, after all they are designed to be outdoors i dont have a garage either sadly & my drive is sloping both front to back & side to side, if it was flat i would be investing in one of those semi permanent tent like garages
  8. ha ha they are great m8!!! 😄
  9. it shouldnt affect us as corrado's should be ran on higher octane super unleaded, preferably 99 ron so either tesco or vpower
  10. thanks Ben - i will wait for Fla to respond but i may be interested if he isnt
  11. where abouts are you chap? are they new or used?
  12. what wheels are you running graham? im still on the 15" speedlines & also run 10mm spacers on the front to clear my 4 pots - my running height is fine 99% of the time, it is only those small sharp rise bumps that cause a slight rub as the weight shifts downwards have your Koni's got bound & rebound adjustment? i guess another possible route would be to get a higher spring weight on the coilover springs but obviously that is an expensive option
  13. nice work fender 😄 there really is no place quite like sat behind the steering wheel of a corrado!!
  14. without driver my KW's are V1's so no adjustments other than height unfortunately if the OP's got that ability i would play around with bound & rebound settings to try & firm it up or just jack the coilovers up a touch id be hesitant to remove the arch liners due to all the crap off the road getting up into the engine bay but that would also depend on how many miles it covers each year, if minimal then i guess you could keep on top of the bay cleaning
  15. i guess they remove them ive got my KW's set at 2 finger gap between top of tyre & the bottom of the wing, this is ok the majority of the time unless im going fairly quick & there is a short big bump in the road when i then get a slight rub on the rebound i guess it depends on the J width of the wheels that are being ran as well as the liners arch downwards as they approach the wing
  16. no m8 they wont be he sold them all to someone in america quite a while ago (he told me this last year when he was about to buy my 16v) heritage is the place for them now but they are £180 per side - Roof Moulding for Corrado, Left: 535853705 | Heritage Parts Centre UK
  17. nice to meet those that attended & some tasty kit for viewing i didnt take any pictures either though lol
  18. regarding the cams - id say it also depends what air filter & exhaust you have, eg BMC CDA & stainless with hi flow cat, as they would both be preferable so as to maximise the new cam profile
  19. did robin used to work there? (or does work there) if he did/does i think it was him who spotted my 16v when it popped up on ebay when i brought it for the 2nd time
  20. tidy the blackberry isnt going back to the paint shop until 12th july so i will be coming in that 😄 who is it from stealth thats coming m8?
