Thats the spirit Jim! Plus there is the side that with each job we tackle the better we know our own cars & the number of jobs we have to send them to the mechanics for reduces ;) i may be mostly moving from my parents back to my apartment this weekend as they return in a couple of weeks note sharing would be fun m8, however, i have a feeling we might mostly be discussing how bloody awkward the glove box was to get out lol fingers crossed that is our most challenging part of the process!

Thats handy you have a garage, even if only to escape the rain. I was wondering, if i put the rear seats down & then take the front seats out, would i have enough room to do it all on a drive. however my gf's mom has said i can use her double garage if i would like to - think that would be more sensible. i know what you mean about finding the motivation to take it all apart - however, i have found lately that it often takes less time to do the actual job than what i spend deliberating about it lol

My thoughts exactly but Derby is quite a way from banbury. However, that said, vince is meant to be one of the best VR6 remappers about & his tenacity to produce a fantastic job is second to none Having had 263's, a BMC & a vince special remap i can say the difference is beneficial. Power output tends to rise by approx 10% but power delivery & feeling under the go pedal is vastly improved :D

new blower motor fitted on the VR last weekend - quick & easy & well worth the £30 collected the rim parts of my BBS splits for the valver after my mechanic had ran a tap in the threads to ease the rebuild - bolts now screw in like a rat up a wizards sleeve gasket cement purchased, BBS bolts clean & ready.......gotta get some loctite en route home & then start rebuilding the 3 that are ready :) set of new wheels bolts with locking nut ordered in readiness to fit the BBS to the valver & then its MOT time link to ebay shop for wheel bolts if anyone can make use of it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-x-ALLOY-WHEEL-BOLTS-LOCKS-VW-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-4-BOLT-NUTS-Y8-/230863615488?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item35c08b3600

update - ok, i fitted my blower on sat & TBH the timeliest part was trying to find the 'locating tab' which stops the motor from rotating out. fortunately a quick look in the bentley manual & it showed the tab is at the rear & you just need to ease it down & then the motor rotates clockwise about 1/4 ish of a turn & drops out once the motor is out you also need to unclip the metal front part which has the connector & thermal fuse behind it so as to reuse on the new blower slip it back in place, connect up & no more whining motor when trying to see out the misted windows.....& it blows like a tornado compared to the old unit :D

i saw n3p's several times when it was being turbo'd at stealth, my VR was there at the same time, & the amount of work vince & co put in is staggering!! plus you also need to cost up BIG brakes, wheels to fit said BIG brakes, custom exhaust with no cat (as vince says the standard VR one is far too restrictive when putting a turbo on), & an LSD of some form & that is all depending on how healthy your engine is when it goes in as there are likely to be a host of other parts which need to be renewed at the same time
