Chris, I reckon we should get hold of enough of this rust prevention gear to do both our cars up on a certain ramp :norty: We need to protect our cars, its not like the show queens that we know of that keep their cars hidden away for winter (you know who you are Nath and Rob :camp: ). -
I've been thinking of getting another set as they fit over my brakes easy and have seen pics of a white mk3 with white TT Comps. They look amazing. I like the contrast of white against my blue.

Part timer :camp: -
No worries chap.... get a good wax on it for the winter too. I use Collinite 476 hard wax, very pleased with it The above work sounds expensive. That's all  That should shed a bit of light on the subject :)

Cheers for your thoughts and concerns Abdul mate, with having the front and rear all painted up over the last couple of months, I'm not going to let an idiot spoil my mood with the car. It looks so much better than when I bought it, its really coming along now. Lots of jobs in mind for it though :pale: Suspension bushes and fit new wishbones. All engine mounts change. Work out how to fit super new 12" Rad fans x2. Fit rear strutbrace. Change ABS Pump. Change over crap brake pads to Brembo. Put the interior back together. And thats all parts I've already picked up and waiting to go on the car :gag: Wish list- New suspension Uprated rear brakes All new brake lines Corrado Recaro front seats Oh and a supercharger would do nicely also

Looks amazing mate 8) Nice work! Get rid of that tatty old fashioned mk1 (ok, maybe not tatty  ), keep the C and buy the mrs a nice S4 Avant. Job done, everyone happy, I've solved all your problems in one go :norty: -
Thanks buddy, not good but def not the worst thing that could happen to it.
-
It is so annoying as its just pointless by idiots who can't stand anyone having anything better than them. Makes things better writing about it on here and letting it go after and focus on the positives. The rest of it looks frickin great! :D

I know mate, had it back for 2-3 weeks now, just not any time til yesterday to wash and polish it. About 2 days after it came home, found 3 or 4 deep scratches on the passenger door! And now this found on Sat morning. All part of the fun of having a car parked on the road when you don't have a drive/ garage. I can't get too wound up about it as it comes with the territory :brickwall:
-
Yeah might do but its white in colour in places and the car has only just been machine polished. I don't know how thick the paint will be to handle a good going over in this area :gag:
-
A quick couple of pics, Shows the extremes of emotions that you can experience with having a car you try to look after. Got the car back from the front end respray, so happy with it. An awesome job by the guys. I ran out of daylight to show a finished look after washing and waxing. The pics are after just the wash. It was dark when I finished the wax :cuckoo: The other side of the coin is finding that some gutter walking scum sucking shitbag had decided my car needed to have a nice scratch along the rear drivers side quarter :bad-words:

so did the Corrado become the classic it was predicted to be
8vMatt replied to Portent's topic in General Car Chat
It really doesn't bother me that its not become this big classic that people have been hoping for. We enthusiasts know how good they are and everyone else is missing out. Do you really want the values to shoot up? Increased buying and running costs plus insurance goes up for a more valuable car. I'm happy to stay under the radar and have most people baffled as to what I drive. -

Big weight saving there mate :cuckoo: :norty: :) -
The Corrado was still made for 6 years and is known to be a special car.[/quote:3lvj7a5x] I reckon the trouble is- The Corrado sold in such low numbers over those 6 years that hardly anyone knows of it. I mean the average public who isn't into cars and doesn't take much interest in whats what to do with models and makes. People who buy Citroens, Pugs and Renaults etc think they have a good car or doesn't really care what their driving won't know of a limited numbers super coupe from the 90's.
-
I don't agree with this, I reckon if u got a dent man to pull the dents you'd be looking at 6k+ eeeeasy!!! I reckon its pretty much bang on in the middle guys. More than 3- 3.5k but less than 6k+ due to lack of leather. 4.5k should cover the insurance :)

That sounds like a good idea. Would getting a power cable down inside one of legs be possible? I don't know if its hollow or not. Might be starting to increase the cost though but sounds like something worth looking into. -
Good pipework there. I reckon you could get some buyers for those if you made more.

I'm not talking about an Escort Cosworth style spoiler! Maybe one that was just 20-25mm extended possibly. Hard for me to describe really but I'm thinking of something that the average person wouldn't know was different.
