  1. Fla- I've been having mad thoughts of 24v forced power in the future. We've got to keep our twins the same! Only yours is air-con and beige interior so obviously better than mine :-( boo hoo! Have got new paint coming so there! Haha!
  2. i use Alu Belgom on mine. Also very good for removing any corrosion that may have gotten in. Where can you buy Collinite, btw? A few people on ebay sell it, and i've seen it on some of the detailing retail sites! Yep as said I got mine off ebay. Works wonders for me. There's so many products out there thats near impossible to find the absolute best one.
  3. I would love a 4wd Corrado! Back to the original question- I reckon a base R32 Corrado would be around the £5k mark leading upto £7-8k for a fully sorted mint example.
  4. Haha you can blame Steveo for those beauties.
  5. Thanks v much mate for your help, my car won't be going to any garage thats for sure :pale: All work carried out is myself, my brother and good mates :notworthy: It is pretty shocking what garages charge :bad-words:
  6. Hi mate, glad you like :salute: The brakes were a bit of a game to get fitted. Leon Cupra R 323mm discs and custom made one-off carriers. Porsche caliper bolts also. All well worth it and I don't think another Corrado uses these calipers, 996 ones being the popular choice. Think mine are a bit heavier and a bigger unit compared to the 996, all adds to the visual appeal to me :camp: No progress on the front yet  Still in the body shop. They're very busy, they did say I could have it this week if I wanted them to squeeze it in. Told them no and do it next week when there's less cars in. I'd rather them do it when its quieter and they can enjoy the job to do the best they can :luvlove: Fingers crossed.
  7. After polishing my TT Comps, I use Collinite 476 wax. Its very hard wearing and I prob only re-polish the wheels every 2-3 months.
  8. Thanks mate, I've seen those on ebay but not known if they were good or not. Not heard of that make before. I phoned TPS today and got quoted £16 +vat each on this same part number! Also quoted around £40 each on drop links and ends (really not sure what I'm on about here!), would that sound a bit pricey or not?
  9. Any chance of the part numbers of the bits you guys got hold of? Plus any feedback would be great of how thing are now with everything freshened up 8)
  10. Hi Judith, Just read the last 10 pages of this great build thread, awesome! Good timing for me on you getting some new wishbones. I've just picked up a pair of freshly powdercoated ones, not as posh as yours! I can't go getting them nylon coated straight away. What bushes etc are you going for? I'm thinking R32 and changing the rest of the rubber stuff in that area at the same time. Cheers, Matt.
  11. Stunning work there mate :notworthy: Could you give a few details of the bushes fitted to your wishbones please? I've just got some powdercoated ones and want to fit new bushes. Be good to hear how you got on with what you've fitted.
  12. Did anyone buy these in white? Would be good to see a set. Hmmm, maybe it wouldn't be good to see them, I'd want them too much!
  13. I don't need any of these YET. Best have 4 for stock thanks.
  14. Here you go mate, have a look through this little lot :cuckoo:  http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.p ... 9dfd2364ba What idiot would give you that sort of idea? :gag:
  15. Don't worry guys, Rob drives like he's driving Miss Daisy!
  16. Of course Mr OEM, the loom is an original Corrado one. Still had the paper label on it!
  17. Mine used to stall like you describe until I started to use the posh petrol. Since then its been perfect. I should put my original chip back in and see what diff it makes.
  18. Had a play the other week and fitted a heated seat loom. Fitted the relays in the proper place behind the rear passenger doorcard, routed the cables behind the dash avoiding the birds nest already there :pale: and put the lead ends to the fusebox. Once at the fusebox, lost my cool with so many wires there and thought it was a bit over my competence level and didn't connect them! Think I'll wait until Nath is available :norty: The other trouble is I need two VW plugs from the seat side of things as the loom doesn't plug into the Audi seats. Wonder if any VW heated seats would have the right plugs? One day the original leather seats ( maybe Recaro :luvlove: ) will be found and fitted, so I don't mind just having the loom in place waiting.
  19. Thats so annoying when you find a mark on the car that wasn't made by yourself :censored: Hope you'll be able to get them sorted. You're on the money about visors/ deflectors :norty:
  20. Cheers mate, appreciate that. Only trouble is, these cars never do get finished. I think of it as they are just continually evolving all the time. These sunvisors are getting a lot of love haha
  21. Lol, yeah they're good guys over there and look after me well.
  22. Hey Chris, how's you buddy? You're right, I'll be so excited to see the car again. I phoned the bodyshop for an update, got told it had to be put back because of an influx of Audi's from the dealer. Gutted :bad-words: But I did say I'd rather them put it back to when they can take their time and enjoy doing the car rather than rushing it to a tight deadline. Fingers crossed its mid to late next week. It doesn't matter really when its done as I've got my T4 to use. I asked them to flat back the paint so the reflection is like a glass finish and not the bobbly orange peel finish of fresh paint, can't wait to see it :multi: Glad you like the mini sunvisor, just a quick silly little addition. Even needed to use it :norty:
  23. Haha cheers Nath  I wouldn't claim the chip thats been fitted to mine is the same as this or produces the same results. It was fitted by the previous owner and as such I've not got any experience of driving a VR on a standard ECU. I don't know if it does make a diff on mine......BUT mine does seem to drive very nicely and smoothly, pulls linear up through the revs very well with no hesitation. MPG doesn't look to have been improved over standard figures, I avg 22-25 mainly because its not a daily and normally have a spirited drive when taken out :norty: This does sound like a good price and you'll be safe in the knowledge that the DG guys are looking after your car :notworthy:
  24. Cheers matey, not sure when its ready to be picked up yet.
  25. About time to take care of all the thousands of stone chips on the front end. At this rate, I'll have a full respray soon enough  So for this adventure, its the bonnet, front wings blended in, slam panel taken off and painted. Also having the rear number plate plinth painted after I forgot to get it done last time and the passenger door handle redone after finding a small imperfection. Sorry for crappy phone pics :Fade-color
