  1. Subaru Forester?
  2. Ben, you still thinking of making this a track weapon? (Please say no!). Great motor too good for track abuse  We need more pics mate, to keep us going, lol.
  3. Awesome :salute: You must be so pleased with it. Upload your shot of it in the filling station, thats quality as well :luvlove:
  4. Don't sell yourself short mate, there's very few people who could do plastering for a living. Very tough job and skillful. Most don't realise how complex construction trades are. Half the time you're overcoming problems caused by some numpty doing drawings who doesn't have a practical bone in their body  On our job at the moment, the drawing shows the roof we are building. Only trouble being is, it is nothing like the drawing in reality. So we are having to design and build on site, not many people could do that :gag: Still I must be nuts as someone in a nice office being paid three times the amount I get produces crap drawings that are no use to anyone :censored: I wouldn't change my job at all!!!
  5. Check out C488ADO's pics as he has the third brake light in this position :)
  6. Now that sounds like a great job. Are you allowed to say anymore about it?
  7. I'm a self employed Carpenter and thankfully at the moment, I'm really busy with work. I know a lot of guys who have been struggling for work in construction :gag:
  8. Nightmare mate, you're not having much luck at the moment with it :pale: And its such a good car. Think Kip is talking about a touch up pen so you can draw some colour in the scratch, then polish off later. Fingers crossed for ya.
  9. I think you're being very unfair.... about 2 year olds, mine is two and I'm sure he could weld better than that  You need to go back to the dealers and make them sit up and take notice that you're serious about this, mentioning Trading Standards is a good start. If they don't react to it, then actually contact them and copy a letter to the dealers. They will know you mean business at least then. Best of luck mate.
  10. Bad news on the shock. As its not been on the car a year yet, then it would be under guarantee surely? I would really push for a refund and put it towards something better. Lovely progress you're making mate, cracking car.
  11. Great buy there Ben, you did well buying this one. You have so many posh toys on this, it would cost me a fortune to get this much good stuff on mine :gag: Looking forward to seeing your progress, the diff is a great start. Are you going to be letting on about poss new wheels? That engine bay is just awesome to look at, the only things I would do if it was mine would be change the Samco's to black and get the mk4 Golf header tank. When's the charger going in then? :norty: :norty:
  12. Could there be a forum member close by to you that would be able to look at this for you? Got to worth a few beers to them rather than hundreds paid to some garage :gag:
  13.  Haha I've got the south west monopoly on TT Comps!!! When I said the brakes would be £500+, I meant everything you'd need, not just calipers. Disclaimer- All prices are ish and very approx and to be taken with a large pinch of salt :norty: Calipers £250+ (poss refurb needed) Discs £150-200 Pads (good) £100, (Very good-Race) £150+ Brake lines £50 What about getting those 17" Oettinger 5 spokes you had ages ago? I loved those.
  14. Wow, I'm not going to drink what you have :cuckoo: you sound like a nutter Nath mate  Firstly the brakes- going to be at least £500 upto £800 ish for a decent setup. Take that off your budget. If you go for 16's (not many will clear big brakes) then you can use your existing tyres. 17's are going to cost you lots more inc tyres. Wheels are such a personal taste, very difficult for people to come up with ideas for you, be here forever deciding. Choose what you want and get on with it!
  15. I attended a RR day, a bloke had one of these and it made 346bhp  after a remap and few subtle tweeks.
  16. Hey man, If the electrics are attached then yes you will need to remove the door card to unplug the connector. :salute:
  17. Have you got a link to a build thread of yours Kev? Would like to see all the jobs carried out on the C. Thanks in advance mate.

    Interior Overhaul

Hi mate The headlining canbe tackled with Tesco foam upholstery cleaner. Only a couple of pounds but great cleaning ability. Better than car cleaning products. Best of luck with the interior.
  19. Mk3 Golf gti wheels? Nope  Cash em in for scrap value :norty:
  20. Extra 60mm, not a chance! Put a ruler on your wheel and see for yourself. Lots of poke there.
  21. Be madness to break up a perfectly good Corrado for a few extra pennies. These are getting rarer now! Unless you're breaking lots of cars and have a stock of spare parts, the amount of hours needed to actually sell everything could mean a pretty low hourly wage off it. Plus you could be left with a load of unwanted parts kicking around. Do the right thing by the C and sell whole, unfinished or make some time to get the bits done.
  22. Great work there Adam, Wow thats some strip down on the matrix  Love the wheels mate, can see why you grabbed those quick. Wouldn't mind a set myself one day. Keep up the good work.
  23. Brilliant, doing searches on my phone is a right pain. I'll check that thread out. Thanks.
  24. I need to install my heated seat loom in time for the winter. Does anyone have any pics of what goes where and which bit to connect to in the fuse box. I'm hoping I've got the full loom, as it just looks like a jumble of wires. Got the seat plugs, relays, dash switch plus a load of extra wires that don't go to anything! Hmmm. I know about the relays going behind the passenger doorcard, its just the fusebox bit I'm not sure of. Cheers guys.
  25. Have you got any details of where they can be bought from etc? Sound good.
